Tuesday 8th August, Day 6

After our late night at Magic Kingdom, we decided to have a bit of a lie in. We left the Pop around 9ish and took the bus to the Magic Kingdom. We then took the Monorail over to the Contemporary Resort for our breakfast at Chef Mickey’s.

We got there around 9.40am and our ADR was for 10.30am. So we had a good wander around the shops and then told the CM that we were there. We sat in the Outer Rim for 20 minutes and our bleeper went off at 10.30am.

We were seated in a great area, where we had a great view of Cinderella’s Castle at the Magic Kingdom. Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale all came round and we took some video and photos, and we waved our napkins in the air to the ‘Celebrate with Mickey Mouse’ song.

The food was lovely (as always) and we all went up 3 or 4 times. I think I had fruit to start with, then 2 helpings from the hot food and finally danishes and doughnuts to finish off (what can I say ? it was there and I just couldn’t help myself ~ LOL).

We paid the bill (getting about $15 off with the DDE card) and had some photos with Goofy on our way out.

I was rolled out to the Monorail, and we caught the bus back to the Pop.

Paul and I sat out by the pool for an hour and I did some washing too (nice and handy having the laundry right next to the pool !).

After my washing was done, we popped over to Wal-Mart, where Paul bought himself a laptop and and the girls bought the ‘Lost’ DVD boxset of season 1. We then we went to DownTown Disney, I can’t remember what we bought, but I am more than sure that something was bought ~ LOL.

The girls weren’t feeling too good and opted to stay in and watch their ‘Lost’ DVD set on Paul’s new laptop, so me & Paul got some chicken strips for them and we went to Petals (poolside bar) for a few cocktails, (I can recommend the Bahama Mama’s, Hula Hoops and one about a hurricane) and we got some tea in the foodcourt.

I think we collapsed into bed around 10.30pm after a wonderful day.
