Saturday 5th August ~ Day 3
We were up around 7am and once again had breakfast in the Pop (this is pretty much the theme of this holiday, as having the DDE card saved us loads and we think it has more than paid for itself on this trip alone).
Today we are off to Universal. As it was the weekend and it was quite busy in City Walk, we decided to see which direction the crowds were going in, and wed go the other way. So as the crowds headed for Islands of Adventure, we went to Universal Studios. At 8.45am the park was already open and so we went straight to Guest Relations to sort out our Annual Passes (we were getting the Buy 1 year, get a 2nd year Free Bealls offer). Within about 10 minutes we were walking out with passes in our hands. Unfortunately you have your photo taken on these passes, and the guy asked me to smile as he took the photo, unfortunately I just look as though Im grimacing on it ~ though it has given the rest of the family a good laugh for the rest of the holiday (and Im stuck with it for 2 years ~ LOL).
Anyway the park was really quiet, we rode The Mummy 3 times (with no wait), Earthquake, Jaws, Men In Black twice and then onto E.T. We had lunch at Mels Diner of cheeseburgers, chicken burgers and onion rings (mmmm) and we got a 20% discount with our APs (woohoo!!).
We left around 1pm and went back to the Pop for a sunbathe and swim as it was getting rather hot.
Later that afternoon we went to the Florida Mall, Premium Outlets and Lake Buena Vista (where the girls bought loads of accessories from Claires and then some nice tops from the Converse shop).
We had a late tea back at the Pop and Im sure everyone was asleep by 10pm (Party animals, we are not ~ LOL).
