Tuesday 13th August ~ Day 13
We were up at 6.45am and we were out of the room at 7.30am for EMHs at Epcot. We got there 10 minutes later and already there was a huge crowd ahead of us (those free dining people like to get up early too ~ drat!!). Anyway we assumed that theyd open up and let us in as far as the fountain for the rope drop, but they didnt, the gates opened at 8.00am and it was a mad dash to get to The Land for an FP for Soarin. We were able to ride Soarin straight away (10 minute wait if that) and then we had breakfast in the Sunshine Seasons food court. We got a FP for Test Track and went on Soarin with our FP. At 11am we wandered around the World Showcase, Becky had a McDonalds and the rest of us ate in China.
After lunch we rode Test Track and then headed back to the Pop to relax as we were coming back to Epcot tonight to meet up with my pal Karen (Miffy2003) and her family.
We had a good hour at the pool, although it was rather cloudy and the girls went to the amusement arcade to win more crowns and wands for Karens little girls.
We caught the bus back to Epcot and arrived around 6pm, and as we werent meeting Karen till 7pm we went to The Land for some cakes and a Smirnoff Ice.
At 7pm we got to the Rose & Crown, where we saw Karen and her family walking towards us. We had a lovely evening just sitting outside the Rose & Crown and chatting about our holidays and the Dis (yes, even on holiday we thought about you lot ~ LOL).
My girls had a lovely time with Erin & Amber, getting chocolate from the shop, having photos with Winnie the Pooh & pals and trying on all the different light up things that were being sold in a cart ready for IllumiNations.
The fireworks went off and we sat there till about 10pm, so that the crowds had time to leave. It was still quite busy at this time so we slowly wandered back to our respective bus stops. Wed had a lovely relaxing evening and it was great to meet up with Karen, Jon, Erin & Amber again.
We got back to our room around 11.30pm and once again wed had a great day.
