Thursday 3rd August ~ Day 1

I slept really badly (I usually do when I’m mega-excited), and we got up around 6.30am to have showers.

We left the Travelodge at 7.45am and met the Meet & Greet driver outside Terminal 1. We picked up our boarding cards and went through the security checks. Once through to departures, we all had a full English breakfast and I bought the girls and myself a couple of bottles of True Star Gold and Paul some aftershave.

We boarded around 11ish and we were away promptly at 11.25am.

The flight went quite quickly. I watched ‘Failure to Launch’ (okay) and ‘X-Men 3’ (very good). We had cottage pie for dinner and a not so nice batch later on.

We had a good flight and we land at Sanford around 3.30pm. We were straight through Customs and picked up our cases and then our minivan from Alamo.

Everything went really smoothly and we checked into the Pop Century (though we did have to change our room as there wasn’t a key in the safe). We were in the 60’s building, room # 5152, at the back of the Baloo and Mowgli building, which was a great location, a short walk to the pool, food court and of course the pool bar.

After settling in we drove down to DownTown Disney to sort out our Annual Passes at Guest Services. We had a quick walk around, Kerry bought some ‘Pirates’ earrings (she just couldn’t control herself ~ SHE HAD TO BUY SOMETHING !! ~ LOL), and Paul bought me a Pirate Mickey.

We then went back to the Pop and had tea, which was more than likely chicken strips ~ LOL.

Thanks Mandy ~ I just asked because with Dollar you have to go on the bus and collect your car.

How did you find USRentacar? Thinking of using them for our trip in March. Full of questions today

Florence, we've used them before and they have always been great. We paid a £50 deposit when we first booked, and then they took the remainder about 8 weeks before our holiday. We would definitely use them (and Alamo) again

Thanks, Mandy, I knew I'd heard of it from somewhere. I am going to have to start thinking about finding myself a new perfume as French Connection have stopped making the one I use
