Becky (DD2) ~ 13 Thinks it’s lame to have a tag after her name

Wednesday 3rd January ‘07

We were up around 7am, Paul & I went to the food court and brought breakfast back to the room and we left for Universal Studios around 8.10am.

Once again we did Preferred Parking, and the Park opened at 8.45am. It was really quiet and we rode The Mummy 3 times with virtually no lines. Now we’re not huge fans of Universal Studios, we love The Mummy and Men in Black, but we’re not really that bothered about the other rides.

In previous visits we have done Earthquake, Jaws, Twister and ET. So after The Mummy we had 2 goes on Men In Black and then had lunch in Mel’s Drive-in.

It was a lovely warm day, so we left Universal around 12ish and went back to the Pop to enjoy the sunshine by the pool for a couple of hours, unfortunately it got very cloudy quickley, but undeterred we cloud-bathed instead :rotfl2:

Later that afternoon we drove to Animal Kingdom, it was really busy (as it was evening EMH there), so we wandered up to Expedition Everest, but all the Fastpasses were gone and the line was for 90 minutes.

We decided to see what the line for Dinosaur was like, as would you believe, we’ve never been on this ride before. There were no FP's left, so we got in line and waited about 30 minutes (which is quite long for us), anyway we thought it was OK, and we will probably ride this again, and although I didn’t buy the ride photo, I actually looked a bit freaked out it ~ LOL

Anyway, we couldn’t be bothered with all the crowds, so we hopped back into the car and took off for DownTown Disney. We were only in the car 2 minutes when the heavens opened, it absolutely poured down. We waited in the car for about 15 minutes for the rain to die down, even though we were parked right behind the World of Disney, but we would’ve got soaked if we ran for it, but we were so pleased that we left AK when we did.

The girls bought their friends some presents and I bought some decorations from the Christmas shop.

We got back to the room around 9pm where I started to decorate the room for Kerry’s ‘16th Birthday’ and wrapped up her presents.

We were all in bed by 10.30pm.

Tomorrow ~ A Very Happy Unbirthday

Good reports. It sounds like we left at the right time(weatherwise). We flew home on the 2nd.

We find the evening EMH late nights are just too busy so will probably avoid them in the future.

Thanks for your great trip reports

Susan

Another great day Mandy...:)

I can't believe that you've never been on Dinosaur either! It is my favourite ride in the whole of the world (Disney and the real world)!
