Mandatory Resort Charge?

I was looking at Ebay and noticed an OKW reservation for auction. It stated:

There is a mandatory resort charge of $95.00 due at the time of check which includes advanced dining planning, magical express transportation, extended park hrs etc.

What's this about?

From what I've seen on similar threads, that is likely an RCI owner who has obtained an OKW reservation through an exchange, and is now putting it up for sale on eBay.

I also believe that is against RCI rules!

Be very wary, the previous poster has noted exactly what has occured, which violates the TOS for RCI.

It's definitely a trade into DVC via RCI. That's the only time a $95 fee is charged nat check in.

Be very careful - it is against RCI rules to sell/rent reservations made in this way. If RCI finds out, they may cancel it. There are reports on TUG of people losing their RCI privileges over this.

last week i thought i read a similar thing about blt. however, that post
seem to dispear ...or maybe i need new reading glasses.

i could be wrong but i think with the letter "warning" cm renting , they
are going to start enforcing their rules. too me, this is a positve step.

i am not rci, do they lose their rights forever or just a period of time?

I'd be careful with that. On one of these dis boards there was a couple that rented points through Ebay and the guy filed for BK. They were listed on their as a creditor so they could have missed out on it. Luckily they got to take their trip and came out fine. I find the rent/trade board on disboards much better than ebay.

I would never trust eBay for renting DVC points I have had marvelous, magical experiences using the DIS rent/trade boards

Just looked at this on ebay. The seller actually has two listings, a one bedroom and a two bedroom for specific dates. Like everyone has said, stay away from this one.
