I was not sure where to post this!

My husband just surprised me and told me that he wants to get a couples massage for our anniversary while in disney. I have looked at the options and it's soooo hard to make a decision. We will be staying at the Contemporary, so no spa there. Anyway, I am thinking about the time for two at the Mandara Spa. Has anyone done this or any of the other options there? Would love to hear about it!

Also, if you think there is a better spa, I am open to hear about it!

I actually think the Mandara is the only spa at Disney that will actually DO a Couples Massage (where the two are in the same room together). I don't think the "Disney" spas will do this...

My DH and I had a Couples Massage at the Mandara Spa at the Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas and it was FABULOUS! One of the best I've ever had, and the Mandara Spa in general was excellent (the atmosphere, facilities, etc.) MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the GF Spa, in my opinion.

Just take a cab over to the Dolphin on massage day. It will cost like $10 each way. WELL worth it.

Thank you! Now, I can't wait to book it. We will have out car, so hubby can drive lol

DH and I did the couples massage at the Mandara Spa at the Portofina Bay resort in US last June. It was fabulous! I highly recommend it. Very relaxing and the spa is just gorgeous. You are entilted to use the hot tub and steam rooms and sauna for the day and the 'locker rooms' are wonderful with amenities.

I had a treatment at the Mandara Spa at the Dolphin last year and I was not impressed. The treatment itself was good, but the amenities of the spa were not what I was hoping. There is no hot tub, or steam room (unless I missed them, I was not offered a tour) and the sauna was out of order. The showers in the locker room also would not heat up, and I was not about to take a cold shower on a 45 degree day!

On the other hand the spa at Saratoga Springs had a much larger locker room with a hot tub, steam room and sauna, all of which I used and enjoyed. So for about the same price, I will be returning to Saratoga Springs.

There is a hot tub and steam room at the Mandara Spa at the Dolphin. I've seen pictures of it. You must have missed it. That's too bad.

Also, not good to hear about cold showers. Did you complain about that? I would have! The Mandara Spa very much holds itself to a high standard as a business. You would have more than likely been offered compensation of some sort. Perhaps it was just the one shower...

However, I have also heard GREAT things about the Saratoga Springs spa, so I would look into that one too.
