Thought I would post this separate. My mom pitched in half of the rate so I could get a massage. Beautiful set-up with a steam room, showers, lockers, robe and slippers you can use before/after your massage. You get access to this locker room and sauna for the full day. I had a 50 minute Swedish massage. It cost me twice what I'd pay in Vermont but since I was on vacation it was OK to splurge. The massage was wonderful. Nice calming music and they put a lavender scented pillow over your eyes towards the end. They tack on the gratuity and they do charge full if you cancel under 4 hours prior to massage time. Just an FYI. I recommend it if you want to treat yourself. I almost booked at Beach club but for 20 bucks more thought I'd try out the new Mandara spa. I do wonder how they compare. ANyone been to Beach club for a massage?

Glad you enjoyed it! I'll be trying the Mandara this August. :goodvibes

much much better atmosphere at Mandara. The Beach Club is just a room inside their work out room. Sounds like a wonderful time, and I thank you for your feedback - I want to try it! :D

I had a massage years ago at the BC and wasn't terribly impressed. Like MickeyMac said it was just a little room and they did a basic massage, I just remember the clock, LOL!!

I must say the GF resort & spa is also nice. While I had a nice massage there I would definitely love to try Mandara Spa as it looks wonderful and from your review it sounds great...maybe I can get dh to give me a nice b-day present for our upcoming trip :teeth: Thanks for the idea!!! :p

I see that the Mandara Spa uses the La Therapie products. I was on a cruise last year and these products were used. I actually splurged and bought some; they were wonderful!

I've been to a couple of Mandara Spas around the country (and made use of the Elemis - Mandara parent company - spas on cruiseships). The atmosphere & experience of the various facials & massage treatments I've had has always been lovely! Having tried the one at the Portofino last year, I'm looking forward to visiting the Dolphin this year!
