Hi and Merry Christmas!

My fiancée and I are getting married in Florida next year and as we live in Durham and are flying from Manchester we intend to stay overnight at the airport the night before the flight - can anyone recommend a good hotel? We would like it to be somewhere nice, we were thinking of booking the Radissan but weren't sure whether to book a meal with the room - i assume your only options for an evening meal are within the hotels as opposed to being able to eat anywhere else?

thanks for any advice

hi
congrats on getting married next year, just got married this year and we are going on honeymoon leaving from manchester international.

we are traveling from newcastle and staying over at premier lodge, we noticed on the way going to the airport there are some of the fair and square place.
we are just going to go there first or call in harry ramsden by bev auntie that we are going to visit on the way to manchester.

good luck with the wedding.

Hi Les and Bev,

congratulations on your wedding, when is your honeymoon? i see you are going to stay at POR - so are we! Have you stayed there before?

Are you driving down to Manchester? We are getting the train down so hoping places to eat will be accessible without car

Hi, can I please ask where you got that deal, I'm looking for something similar, thanks :thumbsup2

We stayed in Altrincham - about 10 mins from the airport - at the Cresta Court Hotel :thumbsup2

I'd definitely stay again - good price, free WiFi throughout the hotel and only 5 mins walk into town to eat wherever you like :)
Only a very short drive from the railway station too unless you want to walk it if your cases aren't too heavy :hippie:

i would book into the radisson & then get the train, from the airport, into manchester, doesn't take long at all,or you could get a taxi,to the romper pub,for a meal.
you have a few options,

I've never stayed at Manchester airport hotel but, depending on your dates, if you book with Hotels.com - you can get 50% off your stay at the Manchester Airport Hilton.

I typed in a dummy stay for a weekend night in June and it's £55 rather than £104 - the offer expires on 31 Dec. If you book with a cash back site like Quidco, you can get an even better deal. Best of luck and congratulations on your wedding! :thumbsup2

Hi

We live in Consett and my Husband and I always get the train down the night before we fly and stay at the Raddison, its so easy just to pull the cases along the corridor the next morning (and from the train station to the Hotel) ! Rooms are very nice, last year we had a view across the runway, we usually takle a bottle of wine with us to have when we get back to the room after a meal.

Just to let you know that you can walk across to both the Hilton and also Bewleys Hotel in less than 10 minutes, we've eaten at both in the past. You just go back the way you came from the station and go out near the bus station and head towards Bewleys hotel, you need to cross a main road to the airport but its usually not that busy then just follow the road up and round the cormer. The Radisson main restaurant always seems expensive to us and the smaller one often has limited choice. Not sure of the cost of a room at Radisson at the moment as I booked earlier this year for 22 September but am using money plus Radisson Gold Points, we don't book breakfast usually just grab something in the airport but we are trying the V Room this year at Manchester so will eat there!

Hope you have a lovely wedding day and a great holiday:flower3:
