Manatee Swim

Has anyone done the swim with the manatee's? Any reccomdendations on the best tour operator etc?

Hi,

After reading the trip report from Kirsten a few months ago I have booked a manatee tour/swim for this October.It is with the company she reccomends Fun2Dive I think it is.

I will definitly post a report about my families swim when I return

I went to the chrystal river last year to swim with the manatee's. It was the most wonderful day out ever

Have just come back, and we swam with the manatees at Crystal River with Birds Underwater.
Even though this is not the best time of year to do it (which we did already know), we still found several manatees-including a mum with a very playful baby-and had the most fantastic morning. They're very inquisitive, and love to be scratched along their sides and under their flippers! November to March is supposed to be the best time of year to go, but there's usually a few around all year.
Would love to go back in the winter, but our photos will have to keep us going until we can!
