Managing large (13) group with FPs

Hi, we will be in WDW with family ranging from 60's to an 18 month old, group of 13 in November. One family of 5 will not have APs but will purchase tickets prior to 30 day FP window.

My concern is, what is the best solution to making FP selections for the entire group? Ideally we would have the 3 per day setup prior to arriving, but then what about in the parks? And to set those up is one person best to set them up? I'm guessing the group will split up at different points in the day and most (adults and teens) will have access to their own account on the app. Will we be able to coordinate extra FPs while in the parks for everyone? Whats been the best approach for making that work?

Thanks for any input!

I shepherded a party of 11 last Nov., last week of F&W, Jersey Week and the races were on. I got everything we wanted including FoP early, 7DMR, everything by grabbing the popular ones at day 64 or later but otherwise no tricks such as splitting up in smaller groups. I made them all Friends and Family, gave them my sign in and password so they could independently change theirs and make later ones on their own.

I was the ring leader for our last big family trip, with a total of 19 people from 6 different family units. :faint: We weren't all on the same MDE, and I was reluctant to try to handle all the FPs for a group that big by myself. Add to the fun the fact that we had some attractions that all 19 of us wanted to do together, while others that some wanted to opt out of and do something different instead, even within the same family units (ex: while most of us were riding Space, some did Pooh instead, etc.).

What we did that worked very well was to have a representative from every family unit get together at the 60 day mark to do FPs. Everyone knew what their particular family wanted to do and I had put together a general outline of my best thoughts on how to accomplish it (MK on Tuesday: Space/Pooh around 10:00, Pirates around 11:30, etc.). Then, when the time to start making FPs came, we all logged onto our own MDEs and were able to communicate to make sure everyone's windows lined up well enough. It worked! :goodvibes

We were lucky that we all live in the same city and could do that. If that's not the case for you, then you'll have to get more creative.

Good luck and have a great time on your trip! I LOVE big family trips. :grouphug:

I like the idea of each family doing their own! We love the big family trips...mostly, LOL. We are not in the same city, state or even coast! May take some creativity to get organized for when the FP window opens but I think will be worth not being responsible for everyone. Thanks for that tip.

I did 25. I only had one hiccup. I called and got it corrected. For a group of 13 you should be able to do it on MDE. I always book as soon as the window opens.
