Throwing my own personal pity party. My cat died today, I had to have my water line replaced and was without water all week, and I have to go back to work tomorrow and I didn't acomplish anything when I was home this summer because I have been so down in the dumps. My sister has lost her mind and split up with her husband and moved into a trailer without her girls. My stepmom (sisters mom) doesn't have a clue about the true story and isn't talking to my other sister and is very short with me. My dad's health is starting to fail and he is having kidney problems caused by his diabetes and my childhood friend who recieved her kidney transplant isn't doing well and had to go back on dialysis.

You ever have those times where it all seems to hit you at once, and from all sides?

Ok gotta look on the bright side or I'll go mad. I'm healthy and with my sisters nagging I went to see the doctor about my "blue funk". I knew it was bad when I wasn't looking forward to our WDW vacation but the nurse put me on a mild antidepresant and it seems to be working. My waters back on and they found the problem without having to dig up my whole yard, and it will cost less because of that. I'm goin back to work and I can get out of my messy house and get some perspective on the jobs I didn't do this summer. I really do love my job and I miss my students.

I'll also get away from my two darlings. :teeth: I love them dearly but it's been a long summer of them butting heads.

My sister is still a freaking idiot but it's her problem and not mine. I'll just love my nieces and try to get them through it.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Lisa  It sure sounds like you have gone through a heck of a lot this summer. I admit I was happy to see a post of yours (I immediately always thing Red Robin when I see your name now... not sure why ;)), but so sorry that it is so down in the dumps for you. I hope that things will look up soon and that once school starts everything will be even better!!!

Venting is good and things usually look better once you get it all out of your head. You've got a good perspective on things and that's a BIG help.

Good luck!

Erin :D

:teacher: School starts next week here. Everyone has to vent once in awhile. At least the water thing worked out. I had to replace the well pump last year $$$.

(((hugs)))

hope life gets better for you really soon!

Gee I feel very bad for my last thread!

See someone else can so make you feel silly about being sad about something that really has no value on life.

I just wanted to offer you a {{hug}} and say I hope things turn around for you & your family. Things can be so trying at times.

My best to you!

May I join your pity party? This has been a horrible week here too. Found out on Monday that my aunt that had a kidney transplant last week wasn't doing too well. Found out Tuesday that my grandma might have bone cancer, test results coming on Monday. A co-worker lost it over stupid stuff. Our dog died today and we are devastated. DH is STILL at work and I have to work tomorrow. DD tells me tonight she doesn't think she can make it through volleyball tryouts tomorrow, (so upset about our dog), and this is what we have been working for ALL summer. I just wish this would all go away!

We will make it though! Best wishes to you and I'll catch you when the sun finally shines through!

Wow, that has been alot to handle! {{HUGS}} and good thoughts for your dad's health Take care of yourself.

 I'm so sorry you've been going through so much, Lisa. I hope things start to look up for you soon.

I'm so sorry things have been so tough lately, but I am glad you are trying to stay positive! Having a pity party here does help...I've had one and I have to say that reading all the encouraging posts lifted my spirits!

Sisters are...well, I wish I could say that my sister is one of my best friends...but she isn't. How is it possible that two children from the same family can end up sooo differently. I hear your pain when it comes to a screwed-up sister! Mine abondoned her kids, shacked up with some drug-dealing loser and ended up spending a year in jail for stealing money from her work place. Just keep loving your neice!

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Unfortunately I recieved bad news about my friend that had the kidney transplant. She had a stroke yesterday as she was leaving dialysis and still hasn't regained concience. She is only 32 and this stupid disease has put her body through so much I am not sure she can take any more. If you can keep her in your prayers.

BrinxFam feel free to join. Sounds like you have had it rough too.

Continued prayers for your friend, Lisa

And  to you too BrinxFam
