Very Sad .But the fact is that where large amounts of children are to be found , there will be child predators hanging around.Themeparks ,waterparks,playgrounds, pools are a magnet for them.Just because you are on vacation doesn't mean you can let your guard down, or decrease your vigilance.Unfortunately, the Most Magical Place on Earth is not immune to real world issues.

Very well said. I'm always astounded when I read posts on here about the many, many people who think it's fine to allow kids as young as 8-10 to go throughout the parks alone and to even travel alone on the WDW bus system. It may well be the happiest place on earth, but WDW isn't immune to child predators. Common sense says that child predators seek out places where victims are plentiful. Disney isn't to blame for this, as sadly, there's no way of knowing who is a predator. Even in the case where the predator was a WDW employee, he had no prior convictions, so there was no way of knowing before they hired him.

As parents, it's our job to be vigilent in protecting our children while trying to still allow them enough freedom to grow into healthy independent adults. I've just been amazed for some time now at the number of parents who think that somehow their children to safer at WDW than they are in the real world.
