I had a mammo on Tuesday ad today she called and wanted to know if they could make an appt to see me again in a few weeks to re-do one side that seemed asymetrical.
I said I couldn't wait "a week or two" and could I have it done today? And she said no but if I came early in the a.m. before they opened officially, they could get me in.
I've never been called back before and I'm so thankful that they could get me in tomorrow so I don't have to worry. But I'm still a little worried.
Anyone ever been called back in before?
Just went through that earlier this year.
I had a mammogram that was suspicious and went back for a sonogram. They saw some nodules that need to be biopsied. I was panicked because my older sister had breast cancer. And I found out the sonogram results on my birthday.
Thankfully, the biopsy turned out benign, but I now have a titanium marker at the site for future mammograms. I need to go back in October.
Obviously, I am at a higher risk, but I am very glad that nothing showed up this year (not a great year for me personally).

I then had to go back 6 months later for another mammogram and 6 months later for the rgular checkup. Everything was fine each time.
