Mama Melrose's or O'Hana

We love Ohana. (3 DS, 12, 8 and 3) the food is yummy. there is activities for the kids so they can get up and move around instead of getting antsy in their seats. Coconut rolling, limbo and they get a lei.

I was not happy with the quality of the food at Mama Melrose.

We have been to MM twice and will not return...We had a bad experience with the food the first time but we liked our server and the atmosphere so we gave it another try...Second time the food was worse...Now we are Italian from NY and I cook...So we are a bit picky when it comes to Italian food but it was not good at all...The chicken was like rubber...The sauce was dark brown and had too many spices (it was not spicey just had a weird combo of spices)...We ordered the pizza for our two young boys and both did not eat much...One did not eat any pizza, only bread...So that is it, we will not return...But you may like it...Again the atmosphere works for families and our servers were nice and attentive both visits.

We have not been to Ohana for dinner but the breakfast is great with the characters.

:yay: BTW, this is my 2000th post :yay:

We had our first and last visit to Ohana's this past year. We went for the character breakfast and the food was not so good. The waffles were cold and the waiter was horrible. He delivered our drinks and then can back 30 minutes later, no refills or warm food. When the bill came he had forgotten to take our Disney Dining Experience discount off the bill and then it took 45 minute and two visits by the manager to correct it. We spent 2 hours eating and it should have taking 30 - 40 minutes.

Mama Melrose is OK. I prefer the 50's Prime Time!

Ohana is our favorite charcter breakfast, and I have never had a good experience at Mama Melrose's. A good way to tell is that it is relatively easy to get a res at Mama Melrose's and pretty hard at Ohana. (I used to think that the Fantasmic Dinner Package was created just to get people to eat at Mama Melrose's). If these are your only two choices pick Ohana, if you need a good Hollywood Studios place to eat with kids try Sci-Fi or 50's prime time, my three year old loved both and we have been probably 3-4 times to each.
