Mama Melrose's - How is it?

I thought it was average Italian food. We had great service and I most likely would go there again, but it is not a must do.

Well we really enjoyed it when we went a few years ago. We enjoy Italian food but we are not fans of Olive Garden and we are OK with Macaroni Grill We like the more authentic type and the flat bread pizza which MM offers both. we would give it "2:thumbsup2 "

You will see Mama Melrose get a mixed bag of reviews. Personally, we really like it and we eat here every year--either lunch (since we refuse to do counter service at the Studios) or with the Fantasmic Dinner package. DH has had the chicken parmesan and the wood grilled salmon and has enjoyed both. I have had variations of the flatbread pizzas and have always enjoyed them. We've always had very good, friendly service.

Based on my experiences and what I've read, you're unlikely to have anything that's truly bad there (that is, spoiled or wrongly cooked), but you're also unlikely to find anything there that sets your heart aflutter. It's just OK. If you correct for people's tastes, the food's probably "good" but not "great."

We had dinner there in Dec 06 and were not impressed at all. We tried lunch there in June and we were surprised! It was great! We shared a pizza, soup and caesar salad but the best was the appie bread and dip platter...wow it was so good

We were there 2 years ago - it was our least favorite but places change and so does taste.

We went for the first time last Oct and really enjoyed it. I had the chicken parm, and a nice caesar salad, my fiance had the same thing. We really enjoyed it and have reservations to eat there in Nov when we go back. I say give it a try can't hurt:)

The food is just OK, nothing special - I've had much better dining experiences elsewhere and would rather eat at 50's Prime Time or Sci Fi when visiting DHS.

We actually enjoyed it. Good flat bread pizzas and the chicken parm was decent, as well. My daughter liked their caesar salad better than the one she had at LeCellier. The food is decent - not excellent - and the waitstaff is very good as well. It's worth a try, and I'm fairly certain you'll like it.

We have eaten there twice and have really enjoyed. The flatbread pizzas are really nice. It is quite a nice quieter restaurant, and the service was very good.

We liked it and have booked again for our trip this year - with the Fantasmic Dinner Package.

The food isn't "knock your socks off" but it is good. The best thing for us is we find the restaurant to have a very relaxing atmosphere. Also - it isn't crowded like Hollywood & Vine, as expensive as Brown Derby or super-themed like Sci-Fi or Prime Time. Just cool and relaxing - a blessing when you are touring the park with 3 kids!

We ate their last December and enjoyed it. I had the pork tenderloin and thought it was very good.

This place, IMO, is very underrated! We went there last minute after hearing bad reviews and just needing somewhere to go. It was myself and 2 other girlfriends on our spring break in 2007. We were on the DDP which at that time included the appetizer, so we were able to try a lot. We all really enjoyed the place. I don't remember what they ordered but I had one of the flatbread pizza's and it was awesome!!

I have Italian grandparents who have made some of the best stuff over the years, so I'm picky when it comes to most Italian stuff.

Definitely go here!

We went in Dec 07 and my whole family liked it--all 10 of us. We also had the best service of the week there. I recommend it.

We are planning MM for our Fantasmic package because they can do GF pasta and most likely add chicken parm with no breading. We need a GF (gluten free) place to eat for our DD.

We go every time we go to MGM. The food is decent, the service is good and we like the atmosphere. We take a break and just relax there. It hides away at the back of the park. Other people have negative views, but we've never had a bad meal. They have wonderful soup, great salads and pasta meals. The kids like it too. Have fun with whatever you choose.

Del:)
