Can someone tell me if you need to spend xxx amount of money for the Fantasmic Dining Package or is it one price for anything? I'd like to try dining there but my daughter would want to order from the kid's menu since there's nothing else that appeals to her. Would she be permitted?

No $$$ required. You order from the menu. How old is your daughter? If she is a child she can most certainly order from the children's menu. A lot of restaurants also allow adults to order from it. NOt sure if Mama Melrose's is one of them or not though.

My daughter is 18. I wouldn't even mind paying more as long as she could get chicken strips.

Would we be permitted to share..since she doesn't eat much she could eat the spaghetti and I could have the chicken parmigiana.

I believe you can share. Some of the Signature restaurants charge a split plate charge but I don't believe Mama Melrose's does. The Disney restaurants are so very accommodating. I bet they could even make her an adult portion of the chicken tenders if you wanted. I'm sure since they are already on the menu they can do something for you.

Sorry...it appears I might have misspoke. I found this on allears about the Fantasmic package:

Mama Melrose $32.99 adult/$11.99 child (3-9) not including admission, tax, and gratuity -- Dinner package is price fixe: appetizer, dinner, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage.

I don't think so. I guess you don't lose anything by asking, though. Here is the deal with Fantasmic package. You book the Fantasmic package. The server will confirm that you are on the Fantasmic package when he/she takes your order. He/she will also ask you if you are on the dining plan.

When you get your bill, you are charged for the adult or children Fantasmic package that is a fixed price - that is you are rung up as "Fantasmic" not as simply the beef or the pasta (or whatever). I would imagine if there is an adult at the table on the Fantasmic package, they would ring it up as an adult. I would ask and see because I would hate to pay the full adult price for chicken strips. Something else they may suggest is to give your daughter an adult-size portion of the chicken strips as her entree. That way, even though you will be paying an adult price, she will get something she enjoyes eating.

I have scanned a receipt from my Fantasmic package that shows "Adult Fantasmic Pkg" and "KM Fantasmic Pkg." Let me see if I can upload it to Photobucket and post it here.

EDIT: Success, I was able to upload it. See next post.

although you order from the regular menu, you are charged a fixed price. So, yes, your daughter could order from the kids menu but you'd still be charged the adult Fanatasmic price for the meal.

We used DDP at Mama Melrose for F! pakge this xmas trip. Nice thing is that with 1TS you are able to get app, entree and dessert even with regular DDP. We had a great meal there..DH liked the steak better than Le Cellier's prime rib the night before.

That may be the best way to go with teh spaghetti..Mama melrose's does not have Chicken strips on their menu

Bumping this thread as I also would like to know.

We have a booking for the Fantasmic package - but there is no way our children (all Disney adults) could eat 3 Adult courses - they would much rather eat off the childrens menu.
We are on the DDP - but I would prefer to pay OOP from the childrens menu for them .

If they share, would we be short a ticket for the F! area.

F! Pk is per person weather you share the food or paying OOP. Since it guarantees a seat for F! everyone needs to pay (DDP credit/cash) and according to Disney, anyone over 9 is adult (at least for dining) so you need to pay for adult prices. I'm pretty sure if you want to order from kids menu, you could, but need to pay for adult price.

I notice that the F! Pkg is Prix Fixe. Is there a special menu or can we order off the regular menu, keeping to the appetizer, entree, dessert clause?
Thanks.

If they are Disney Adults you will need to pay the Disney Adult Price for each of them for Fantasmic Package (regardless if you are paying OOP or using your Dining Plan credits) . - You cannot pay OOP for them to eat off the childrens menu or have them share and still get the F!Package seating.

Mama melrose's Can do Spaghetti or Penne with any of their sauces as an adult portion. They just dont have it on the menu, but They will do it if you ask.

So if you have disney dinning plan, you can still do the F! package for one TS credit?

If so can this be booked on line as we are from the UK, or do we have to phone?

Im new to the Dinning plan and want to check I understand it.

Do you have to eat at a certain timee, or anytime that day?

Thanks for any help you guys can give.
