Mama Melrose vs Brown Derby

I need help in deciding on the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg. Keep in my mind it will be just me and my 2 girls (4 & 6) We did lunch at BD and really liked it, but I'm wondering if MM is the way to go for the kids? I hear so little about Mama Melrose, that I'm not sure. Any reviews on either are appreciated.

Also what has been your experience on this pkg? Are you limited to certain choices?

We have eaten at both for the Fantasmic package. I have three children. All of us enjoyed The Brown Derby much more. The service was beyond excellent and we were in and out of there much quicker. The Fantasmic menu is limited in comparison to the other menu.

Mama Melrose was a much darker restaurant. And you can smell the brick ovens throughout the restaurant. My children didn't enjoy the meal. The pizza, because of the brick oven, wasn't to there taste.

My DD8 and I did Mama's for Fantasmic last summer and really enjoyed it.

She had the pizza and the "dirt and worms ice cream" and I had salad and this great pasta/chicken/artichoke dish.. yum!

I was so full for dessert - I tried a cheescake which was so good but I just couldn't finish it.

The atmosphere is casual and famiy friendly... lots of kids - I am sure you will like it.

I like both but if you want speed then HBD is the way to go. Also bear in mind htat pasta and pizza fills you up more so as you're paying for the 3 courses as part of the package I'd go for HBD. MM is still a good place to go but I'd tend to split my food more here.

MM is certainly more family orientated but HBD is such a lovely restaurant that It would get my vote without a doubt.
