Mama Melrose split reservation

I think I know the answer to this but here goes. Two families are planning Mama Melrose for March 10(our reservation window opens tomorrow) and want to dine 8 in all with 4 taking the Fantasmic pckge and 4 others just a regular ressie (boys aren't interested in seeing it again).

Can one family do this online for all 8 or should both try separately for approximately the same time and ask to be seated together that night?

Also how much time should we allocate to catch the show (8:30)?

They will give you a window of reservation times for when you are seeing Fantasmic. We actually got lunch package this time for dec with lunch at 2pm and Fantasmic at 6:30. If you are on DDP, it doesn't really matter if only some of the party are going to Fantasmic so I would just make the package for 8. If you are paying OOP, then I might make the 2 separate reservations.
