Mama Melrose reviews?

Hi! Has anyone been to Mama Melrose's recently? Can't recall reading anything about it in the past few months. I'm thinking about giving it a try again.

We really enjoyed it in 95, 98, 00 & 01(as you can tell, I was a die hard fan!). We went back this past August, and were not happy with the changed menu. I think they tried to make it a little more exotic or gourmet.
The pizza was still very good, however I had my heart set on having the chicken broccoli & pasta dish and was very disappointed when that was gone. I also had a taste of the new steak dish, and it definitely wasnt as good as the former steak dish on the old menu. In fact my DM ate there in 01 and said it was the best meal of her trip. This trip she was very disappointed in her meal.
Before they changed the FDP procedure I thought I would go back just for that and stick to the pizza & salad, but now knowing I have to get an entree and dessert on top of the pizza and salad and pay a lot more for food I dont want and dont like, I probably wont go back.

We like Mama Melrose but for certain things, we like the pizza very much, the salads are good and the fried calamari is excellent. I also like the atmosphere very much, there are so many different things to see and once you know how the orginal restaurant got started it is even more fun to look at all the different decorations.
When we want a fancier meal though, Brown Derby is definitely our MGM choice.

We've eaten there quite a few times, but I believe the most recent was 12/00. It wasn't great, but it was pretty good, and I thought one of the best choices for a sit-down restaurant at MGM.
Sci-Fi is a good choice for burgers/rings, etc.

I was at Mama Melrose in August, loved it, had a fantastic salmon dish. I also recommend the Prime Time, not so much for the food which is good with huge portions, but for the FUN!

We just ate there last week because we could not get into Prime Time or Sci-Fi that day. We have never been there before. It was okay. My Dh had the Chicken Flatbread, and I had the Paninni(spelling?) sandwich. I don't think we would go again.

Our family likes it very, very much. Not great food, but good and satisfying. Tasty pizzas...good minstrone soup. Also...as much as we LOVVVEEE Disney, let's face it, there's come a time during your trip when you need a little escape from Mickey and Minnie....this is just a regular restaurant that provides that.
(And then you step outside the front door and you're right back in it!!)

Misti, we had lunch there in both June and October. We love the flatbreads and salads and they are as good as ever. My husband had a sandwich that he really disliked. I ordered it for him and the server gently tried to steer me toward the other sandwich choice. I should have listened to her ! She took it off the bill and my husband talked to the manager about how bad that sandwich was and how GREAT the service was...he had also dined there earlier in the week with our son and had this other waiter who was great...I think Kevin but am embarrassed to say I can't remember for sure. Actually, we've always had super service there. That sandwich may be long gone because our waitress told us no one seemed to like it. It had different Italian meats and was served warm.

Anyway, we love MM and plan to return next month for lunch.
