Mama Melrose or Tutto Italia

I am trying to decide between the 2 restaurants and have no idea which one is better. If we do Mama Melrose we will do the Fantasmic Pkg.. We do not care which one has the more authentic Italian food, only looking for the yummiest.

Our last trip we ate at both and our whole party liked Mama Melrose much better.

I've eaten at both places and I prefer Tutto Italia. I didn't hate Mama Melrose..but I didn't love it either. I loved Tutto Italia...

Tutto Italia is a million times better than Mama Melrose but it is also more expensive and our meals at Tutto were more "rushed feeling" than Mama's

I think it depends on if you're in the mood for "Italy" Italian (Tutto) or "Little Italy" Italian (Mama). I like Tutto personally, but it is quite expensive and the portions are smaller, as they are in Italy. Mama Melrose's holds no appeal to me simply because I live in Chicago and there are places like this all over the place. If you don't have regular access to old-school "mama's red sauce" restaurants, then you'll probably enjoy it.

What about splitting the difference and going to Il Mulino (WDW Swan Hotel), an outpost of a "real" New York Italian restaurant? I have not eaten there yet, but it gets mostly rave reviews. It is costly like Tutto, but probably offers more bang for the buck. However, it is not on the dining plan, if that is an issue.

It all depends on your tastes. Everyone on the dis can give you their opinion and it can still differ from your own. I'll give you mine since you asked, we liked Mama's much better than Tutto. We did the Fantasmic pkg. so that was a plus, but also liked the food a ton better. I thought Tutto's lasagna tasted like Chef boy ar dee (yuck) and Tutto is more expensive. Hope that helps.

We are not too concerned about the price as we will be on the DDP. We will be traveling w/ our 2 kids who will be 3 and 10 months, so I think Mama Melroses Fantasmic Pkg sounds much better. Plus we already will be having many dinners at Epcot.

TUTTO'S ALL THE WAY! the only plus to Mama,s is the fantasmic, but then I do not care for any sit downs at HS

Another vote for Mama Melrose's. Have ate at both and will never be back to Tutto Italia. Bland Food, bad service and a price tag that had us shocked.

We loved MM last Sept and plan on going back, we had the chicken pasta, steak and cheese flatbread. I had a chocolate martini that was great too plus we loved the atmosphere

We have never been to Mama Melrose, but we LOVED Tutto Italia!
