Mama Melrose or Sci Fi?

We haven't eaten at Sci Fi in years and from what I remember, it wasn't that good. We love Mama Melrose, but it seems we eat there all the time. Has anyone been to Sci Fi lately?

We haven't been there for the same reason as you. The food just wasn't that good. We like Mama Melroses too but tried Prime Time Cafe' the last time we were there and loved it. We think that is the best alternative.

Here's another vote for Prime Time Cafe. We ate there in December and absolutely loved it. The food was good and our server (sister Patty) was fantasic. She played the part of the restaurant, but she wasn't too overbearing. One thing about PTC, I think it's better to go with a larger group, we had 5 in our group and it was great, but I don't know how much fun it would be with just DH and I.

We ate at Sci-Fi in August, and the food was just okay, nothing special. The atmosphere was really cool, but the food wasn't worth the price. This would be a great place to get just desserts, you can experience the atmosphere and not pay as much.

The cheeseburger and fries are good at Sci Fi. Most people like the shakes, but I did not. That said, the atmosphere is so much fun! I think it is a good lunch choice.

Sci Fi was fun to try, but it's definitely not our favorite. I'd go for Mama Melrose.

Mama Melrose's though I do like a burger and shake from Sci-Fi from time to time.
