We're going the end of July and it would be nice not to wait on line to see Fantasmic. Which of these palces would you choose for the dinner package? My kids and husband like buffets but I'm sure the kids would eat something at Mama's too. Thank you!

I have never been to H&V because we are such fans of MM. I have found that it is hard to find good Italian in WDW, but MM is one of the best. We dine here almost every trip, most recently, earlier this month. I did a review on the reviews board if you are interested.

Thank you! I know on the 2007 Fantasmic Dinner Package you get an app along with the meal at Mamas. On the 2008 DDP we will no longer get an app. so I wonder how that will work with the package and people on the DDP?

We have been to both, but you will see many differing opinions on MM on this site. We love it and have never had bad service or a bad meal. We did not like Hollywood & Vine all after two visits. The first visit was so-so; the last visit we found it dirty (especially the restrooms), the service was terrible--25 minutes to get our drinks and the food was often lukewarm or took forever to replenish at the buffet. This year we did not do the Fantasmic Package (although we did eat at MM) and just walked into the show--but we went to the 10:00 show.

Our family really enjoyed H & V. It was a favorite with kids. I think with a buffet, everyone is bound to find something they enjoy. My kids also tried some adult stuff so they got to get away from the Disney standard mac & cheese and chicken fingers.

I have never tried MM but I just did Hollywood and Vine for the first time on December 15th and was very pleased with the food and our service was great! :)

I've been to both, and I like MM a little bit better. Here's why........By dinner time, we're ready to relax a little and a sit-down meal is more relaxing than a buffet. Plus, H & V was really noisy and MM was a little more quiet.

The food at both places was OK, and overall I wouldn't hesitate to return to either place. My kids enjoyed the buffet selections at H & V and they also liked the food at MM. I think they are equally happy at both places.

Brown Derby is the other Fantasmic option, but that's out of our price range and I've never eaten there.
