Would you chose the Brown Derbyof Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic package?

I ate at Mama Melrose last month and I enjoyed it. The calamari was pretty yummy , but then again, I'm not much of a food snob (no offense, OKW Lover!)

I agree Brown Derby is a better restaurant, but it is more expensive. I actually like Mama Melrose's more than most reviewers on this site, so if you don't want to spend the money on a "signature" meal, Mama Melrose's is certainly a fine option.

My vote is for The Hollywood Brown Derby! It was definitely one of our favorite meals on our last trip and we were on the DDP with lots & lots of good restaurants. Mama's is fine, but a totally different menu, as well. Enjoy your meal wherever you go!!!

If paying OOP I'd definitely go Brown Derby as it's much better. If using dining plan credits, Brown Derby is probably the worse value of anyplace at WDW.

I always wonder about the Fantasmic! package restaurants, too.

I wish that they would all Prime Time to the list. None of the F! package places get horribly good reviews.

The Brown Derby is always wonderful. The food as well as the ambiance. We have enjoyed Mama Melrose's food, but the two times we ate there, the service was less than stellar..and they weren't so busy as to cause this. But either choice will give you good food, so it comes down to budget.

This one's easy. HBD is excellent. By far, the best theme park restaurant.

Disclaimer: We haven't eaten at Le Bistro yet, so that's excluded from my assessment.

Haven't eat at Mama Melrose but it gets mixed reviews. Brown Derby is one of our favourite restaurants and I rarely see bad reports on this one - main negative would be the high prices.

I like Mama Melrose's, but Brown Derby is one of my favorites. Though if you're on the DDP, Mama Melrose's is a better value.

Brown Derby does have the better food, but Mama's food is good and it isn't as expensive. I think it's one price fits all for the Fantasmic Package, so bang for your buck I'd go to Brown Derby.
