Mama Melrose or Alfredo's

We hated MM and have never been to Alfredo's. At MM our waitress was non-existant. We got NO Bread and no drinks until we asked another waitress. Then when our food got there it was nasty. I love Eggplant Parm. and there were 3 teeny tiny pieces of shrivled Eggplant. My DH and DS got the steak and it was burnt to a crisp when they ordered medium. We won't be back. We are trying Tony's this time.

Had a bad experience at Tony's last month. Food was fair to poor to unpalatable, depending on the entree. My wife's chicken florentine was inedible and my pork shank was swimming in a nasty sauce. We aren't picky and this was our only poor meal during a two week visit on the dining plan with daily TS meals.

We have had lunch at Tony's several times and it was okay, but dinner there this time was poor. Won't be going back.

Sorry for being negative and sorry for being off course on this thread.

We really enjoy MM and go there nearly every vacation. Have only had lunch there, not dinner. Never been to Alfredo's -- tempted but too many negative reviews to risk it. Maybe some day.

We love MM, have to eat there at least once every trip. DFI espically likes thier woodfired pizzas, yummy!

I hear Palio at the Swan is excellent...that is one Italian place I will definitly try. I love Linguine alla vongole and I see they have it on their menu so I MUST try it! Good luck with your decision though! I'm sure you'll find something you like at either restaurant, I guess you just have to know what to order. So here's a couple suggestions...My sister loved the chicken flatbread pizza at Mama Melrose and at Alfredo's the must have is the Fettucine Alfredo (they've recently put an Alfredo's here in NY and we go there to get our fettucine fix!), and my DBF had the Sampler which was also excellent.

We have an ADR at Alfredo's but I leaning towards changing it to
MaMa Melrose. What are your opinions on these two resturants?
We have never eaten at either.

Wow, just want to say thanks for all the feedback on MaMa & Alfredo's
but now I'm really confused. I was just looking at the menus and Tony's
lunch menu looked pretty good. I wasn't that impressed with their dinner
menu. So, what's the scoop on Tony's? Any one like or dislike Tonys?
