Mama Melrose - Lunch Reviews?

Hi! We are going to be doing the Fantasmic pkg at Mama Melrose for lunch and are just wondering if anyone has eaten there recently for lunch? And if you could give us a review or pics?? TIA!

We at there at 4:30 pm last trip.. is that lunch or dinner?

The food wasn't bad, but wasn't as good as I expected. I'd put it on par with the big chain Italian restaurants as far as food and service. I just expected a little more than that from the way everyone goes on about Disney restaurants.

With the Fantasmic package you get an appetizer (these are huge, bigger than the entree, and each person gets one), an entree (these actually weren't that big, but after eating the appetizer it seemed like a lot more food), a drink and dessert.

Mama's only has 1 menu. Same for lunch and dinner.

noted the lunch and dinner menus are the same. We ate at MM last month. We had the calamari and mixed green salad for the appetizer course. Both were very good. For entrees we had the steak - ok -, pork chop - good - and carne d'italia flatbread - very good. Dessert cheesecake - very good (to me at least and chocolate cake with cannoli filling - ok.

Is it just order off the menu for the Fantasmic? how do they figure pricing if you get an appetizer? What if you don't want one? Sorry for so many ??'s LOL. I could only get a lunch reservation and my DH doesn't want to do lunch, hates big meals in the middle of the day but it was all I could get so I convinced him we could just eat light.

Yes, you get an appetizer, entree, dessert and drink (soda) from the regular menu. It is all inclusive if you are doing the F! package.

The steak was the best meal out of everything we tried.

The pasta was ordinary and my daughter liked the chicken parm but the pasta stayed on her plate.

We also really enjoyed the antipasto appetizer for 2.

We ate there last year for lunch and shared the casear salad and 2 of the flatbreads.

Mmmm...the antipasto platter looks so good! My DH and I love calmari, so I figured we would split that as an app....but now that I see the antipasto platter, I may have changed my mind!
