Has any one eaten at Mama melrose lately using the fantasmic dinner package? Can you pick any entree off of the menu or are you limited to a few pre-selected choices. We've eaten at MM before and enjoyed the food but was wondering if we would get better selection at Hollywood & Vine for the fantasmic dinner package?

Thanks for the advice :sunny:

I too was considering the Fantasmic package this year at MM but after reading through the menu we are not going to do it. You can find the menus at allearsnet.com. Since we have eaten at MM before (not fantasmic package) we have our favorites and they are not listed on the pre-fixe menu for Fantasmic. It just doesn't seem worth it to us. We are going to eat there w/o the package and just get to Fantasmic early. Hope this helps!

When doing the FDP at MM you get a salad for your party to share. You also get 1 flatbread (any kind)for every 4 people in your party, so even if you only have 5 people, you get 2. Then you do get your choice of ANY entree off the menu. Some people have reported having a special "Fantasmic" menu (Ive never gotten it when doing the FDP), however all the regular dinner entrees are listed on that menu. We have had mixed experiences with desserts...We have been told any dessert off the menu, and once told cheese cake, tiramisu or icecream.

As a side note we have been able to substitute the Ceasar salad for the regular salad because we dont like the leafy/weedy "lettuce" they use in that. I think they are very good about making adjustments.

We just did it a couple weeks ago and it was the same as what the previous poster said. We had our choice of all the deserts but one we had to pay extra for, Happiest celebration on earth desert or something like that.

This was very helpful. We are doing the FDP in June and was wondering just what was on the "Fantasmic" menu. Glad to hear it's pretty much the regular menu to choose from.

we did it last week. i have been to mama melrose before, but we were so disappointed this time. soft drinks were not included in the 30$ per person cost. as mentioned, not all desserts were included without additional cost. the menu seemed limited, and our service was mediocre. we will never choose anywhere over the brown derby, again. bob cobb, please take us back.

We've eaten at Mama's twice with the FDP and enjoyed our dinner both times. Service is uniformly poor at Mama's from what I can tell, so that's almost a given. But the food was quite good and they were accomodating to our needs.

I would have to disagree with that. We have eaten at MM 9 times now and always had very good to excellent service. The only "issue" we have ever had was once my friend was brought the wrong entree. The waitress handled it very well though and my friend decided to keep what she was brought. In the end she loved it so she was glad the mistake was made. ;)

You're kidding, I thought soft drinks were included. I thought Adult drinks meant alcohol

Does anyone know if we use our Dining plan TS credits for a Fantasmic meal?

Yes, the dining plan can be used. It is one TS for the package at MM. When using the plan, it also includes all soft drinks, tax, and gratuity. We are doing this in August.

That's too bad...what made it so disappointing? Was it the food, service or just in general??? I was unaware that soft drinks weren't included, that seems a bit cheesy.
