Mama Melrose Fantasmic Pkg

So what all does the Fantasmic pkg come with? Is it any extra, we will be on the DDP plan. Also what time should I book it for?

I haven't been to it yet but I booked it for the end of January. The Fantasmic Package through Mama Melrose or Hollywood and Vine is one TS per person on the DDP. The Fantasmic package using Brown Derby restaurant is 2 TS.

I believe you get to choose your meal from a condensed menu. It gets you preferred seating at Fantasmic. You still need to go early though because they release the preferred seats at a certain time. I figure it will save us from getting there over an hour early though.

As for meal time, the CM I reserved with told me the latest time I could make with the package. I could have made it earlier if I wanted. Fantasmic is at 7pm and the latest reservation I could make was 4:30 to allow us enough time to eat and get to preferred seating before they are released.

We do MM for the FDP every time we go. We have a 5:20 ADR for next week, that is latest I have ever gotten. Usually we get around 4-ish.

They used to have a seperate menu, but now you order off the regular menu. The seperate menu actually had more food on it. You got family salad, flatbread pizza, entree, and dessert. Now you just get the one appetizer.

We have always had a great meal here. Both of our girls are picky and have never had a problem. We like the seating area that is available. It is off to the side, but one of our DDs loves the show, but not the fire effects, so we tend to sit in the back.

We made our ADR early for 3:30...

we had a decent sized breakfast...skipped lunch...early dinner...

then we left MGM..swan at POR then returned for Fantastmic! we had snacks later around 10 at sci fi dine in...! On the 2007 DDP you just order like at any other TS meal! Just make sure when you call to make the ADR you specify you want the fantasmic package at MM.

Thanks to everyone for your tips. What do we do if we are going on the day of EMH? Do they really have 2 shows for Fantasmic? If so can we get reservations for the later show? Just wondering. I cannot wait to go. I am making my dinner reservations and trip reservations tomorrow morning at
7am.

I hope the 2008 DDP still includes the Fantasmic Pkg with H&V.
We never mind eating at 4 PM and then walking around DHS (new 2008 name of Studio's) and doing some rides after H&V early dinner.

Then at Fantasmic we get a snack - ices, ice cream, or bring in a WDW bucket of popcorn with us.

We are doing the FANTASMIC dinner packing and we are on DDP...we are eating at 4:20....skipping lunch (having a snack, instead) EATING and then riding a couple of rides...then coming back to the designated spot to get the reserved seats for having the dinner package! They told me to show up at 7ish, for the 7:30 show...if you plan on NOT showing up, you have to cancel 48 hours in advance or they WILL charge your CC $10 per person in the reservation...that is something to keep in mind!!! You get the VIP/reserved seats for the show, so no standing in line or whatever! SOunded good to me!!! AND it only counted at 1 TS...
