Is it good? Worth a try? A can't miss?

Do you have kids? We first tried Mama's a few years ago and everytime we return to Universal; the first restaurant my kids want to return to is here. They love "mama" and the musicians. Food is good, so for our family it's a definate must. We usually have a group going with us and they are very accomodating. Don't know if I would be going there if it was just me and my husband though.

Is is oriented towards children? Why would you not go with just you and dh? We have 3 kids, so your post inspired more questions.

We almost always have a meal at Mama Della's. The kids love it and we love it. They have the best salad! The atmosphere is terrific and so is the staff. For an authentic waiter request, Joe. I have always enjoyed my meal and the strolling musicians add to the flavor of this restaurant. If you like mussels their garlic white wine sauce is one of the best I've had. Buon Appetito!

wwessing - It's a great family restaurant, just thought it might be a little to loud for a romantic dinner with dh. If it was just me and husband, I would want to try Bice at Protofino instead. My kids are very goofy and sing with the waiters and get up and dance to their music. They hug Mama and try and talk Italian with her! We brought my father-in-law with us one night for dinner (born and lived in Italy as a child); and Mama and her staff do really speak Italian -its just not an act!

Thanks to everyone. It will be my wife and I and my brother in law and sister in law. We're fine with loud and may even sing and dance ourselves!
