Can anyone give me a review of Mama Dellas at the Portofino Bay Hotel? Thanks.

One of our favorite restaurants in USO! We are from NY and I am Italian (we get great Italian food everywhere) and the spaghetti and meatballs is about the best I have ever had - and that's saying a lot. I know it's a simple Italian Americanized dish...but it's that good. I always order that, and we have been there at least 5 times.


The restaurant itself reminds me of my grandmothers house, kitchen tables set in kitchen settings. It;s designed to be like "Mama's" house kind of feeling. The salad is served family style, big basket of bread, and entertainment (strolling singers). It's always a must for us

The service is friendly and is accoustomed to serving families, so you don't sit for a year and a day. My husband and I don't have kids, so we always get a nice table in the corner and have a great time.

You will love this restaurant!

We loved this place too. We had the chicken parm and a rigotoni and sausage dish with brocolli rabe. Excellent!

They also have serenaders. Be prepared with a request so you're not caught off guard!

Our family of 4 ate there last August and LOVED it. We, too, are italian and found the food and atmosphere to be very "authentic" and not overly pricey. We split a salad and they brought it to us on 2 seperate plates which we though was very nice. The service was great as well. If time permitted, we would have eaten there again. Enjoy!

We loved Mama Della's, too !! Had a birthday party of 16 (all ages 5 mos to 54) and everyone enjoyed their meal. I thought the atmosphere was great for either families or couples - family friendly, but cozy and romantic, too (though not quiet!). We loved the roaming musicians - our service was top-notch! You can order dishes 'family style', paying a reduced price for additional servings - our waitress advised that 2 orders served 'family style' would feed 3 and we found that to be true -plenty of food ! We will definitely be back!

Several people had recommended this restaurant to me last year for authentic Italian food. We were very excited to eat here but unfortunately missed our 9:30 reservations as the boat from Citywalk took so long to come. We finally arrived around 9:55 and were turned away! What a disaster, we ended up eating at Pastamore and didn't care for it at all. This year we will make earlier reservations since the parks do close at 7pm (I think) when we are there.

We tried a few times to eat there on our last trip and couldn't get in. If you are staying onsite make your priority seating arrangements early through your hotel concierege (unless this has changed).
