We're visiting Florida for the first time this Summer (it's the first time I've been able to say that:cool1:)
Thanks to Disney XD and American TV in general, my girls (8&6) are familiar with the concept of an American mall and are desperate to experience this first hand.
Can anyone suggest where to take them? The shops they'd be most interested in are probably clothes, accessories and build-a-bear type. (oh, and my husband wants new trainers!)
Thanks :thumbsup2

The Florida Mall will keep all of you happy. There is a Build A Bear Store and lots of clothes stores for the younger members of your family. Unless you want the most recent trainers then I would wait and buy them in one of the Premium Outlet Stores. Enjoy:)

The Florida Mall is the best 'all rounder', also the most popular.

It isn't as nice or new as the Mall At Millenia, but I suspect your girls may find some of the shops maybe not suited to them, it's a bit posh, many stores being high end designer (no offence, not that you aren't etc etc).
It also has a better food court than the Florida Mall.

Premium Outlets is a mixture of designer and well known brands with an outdoor theme. A bit of something for everyone and you could pick up a few bargains.

FM and PO are probably better for your girls.

Just to add... there are two Premium Outlets in Orlando, situated either end of International Drive.

Orlando Premium Outlets - Vineland Ave
8200 Vineland Avenue
Orlando, FL 32821

Orlando Premium Outlets - International Dr
4951 International Drive
Orlando, FL 32819

If your girls have been to Meadowhall, Trafford Centre etc, it's really not that different!!
Best all-rounder is Florida Mall definitely (and don't forget to do the stores on the outer rim across the car park).....if you want up-market then Mall at Millennia is for you (and it means you can go to the Cheesecake Factory, which should not be missed, trust me!!)

Florida mall. There are usually coupons about for a free coupon booklet you collect at guest relations - in October there was $5 off at build a bear in the booklet.

Also i'd do one of the outlets - premium on vineland ave or premium at top of I drive. Best for trainers.

Well worth a trip to walmart aswell. Usually lots of cheaper souvenirs and bits and bobs if they are wanting to buy for classmates etc.

I've tried to tell them exactly this but apparantly it can't possibly be the same because the Trafford Centre is rubbish except for Build a Bear and the Disney shop :rotfl:

Thanks for the recommendations, Florida Mall it is - very possibly not posh enough for Mall at Millenia:sad2:

Yes def do this...it saves having to look around for a coupon to give to Guest services at the Mall and Outlets to get your coupon book!! We have saved quite a few $$$ in the past with the coupon books..Even if you don't use them for goods you can get offers on food like buy 1 auntie Annies pretzel and get 1 free...yummy!!!

Are these two in addition to Prime Outlet? (old Belz)

I know about Premium Outlet that is close to Downtown Disney and Prime Outlet which is closeish to Universal but didnt know about a second Premium Outlet?

They renamed the Prime Outlet (old Belz) to Premium Outlet (I-Drive).
So now there's the same two outlets as before but with virtually the same name: Premium I-Drive (near Universal) and Premium Vineland (near Downtown Disney)
Because having Premium and Prime wasn't confusing enough
