Mall of America Trip in November

My daughter goes to U of M and takes the light rail to the mall. After you've gone there a few times, it becomes another mall. It does have two different Bath and Body Works stores, as well as two Victoria Secret stores. There is the Nickelodeon theme park in the mall. Also, an American Girl store. My husband stayed at the Embassy Suites on business, recently. I believe he gave it :thumbsup2. Macy's opens at midnight for Black Friday, as well. IKEA is a fun store. This location is smaller than the Schaumburg store. We enjoy the inexpensive food when visiting IKEA.

Last time we went we stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites Minneapolis Bloomington W
5151 American Blvd West Bloomington, MN 55437 It is about 5-10 minutes west of the mall with a shuttle service. We got a beautiful two room suite for under $100 with the most comfortable beds. I think the regular rooms were in the $60 range or so. There are two La Quintas the other is closer but did not look nearly as nice as this one. HTH

I also recommend the Laquinta. Excellent hotel. All renovated rooms.

I'm about 20 min away too (North St Paul) :)

OP--whenever we do a MOA wkd we always stay at the Embassy Suites. The location is great & they have a mgrs happy hours at night with free cocktails, soda, slushies, & lights appetizers. They also have a great breakfast in the AM. Its well worth the money IMO.

They also have a shuttle to the MOA :)

Have fun!

My friend who is from Bloomington reccomends Embassy Suites also...that was our number one choice, but I am going to look into La Quinta also...;)

:goodvibes Maplewood here :)

Original post from 2008...but for those coming soon...we love the Hilton. It's about 1 mile away, continuous shuttle, great rooms, great prices.

We hit MOA at least once a month...park on the roof and watch the planes for a while. Great way to kill time...especially in the winter!
