3 hour queue times coming spring 2016! Can you imagine standing in that never ending line of tiny Elsa costumes!

When this ride does open, it will consistently have loooong waits. That's a given much like we see at SDMT in MK. It'll help draw more people away from the small amount of headliners Epcot does have (Test Track and Soarin') which will hopefully drop their wait times. One can hope.
I don't have an issue with World Showcase having actual rides that feature Disney characters with the flavor of a country. I'd have no issue with Ratatouille being in France .. I'd have no issue with Mulan being in China. And honestly, after this Frozen takeover .. I think they should do that with the World Showcase to spice it up and make Epcot more appealing to the younger kids.
The history and culture of those countries are shown in those movies. The movies are fantasy .. but the history and culture it is based on is not.
Frozen's story pulls from Scandinavian myth and culture. What difference is there if you see generic "Norway trolls" or the Trolls from Frozen?
Epcot needs more attractions. Period. Let's admit it .. Maelstrom (like most of the "attractions" in the world showcase) wasn't really that great to begin with. It just stood out as the BEST of the mediocre attractions around that lake.
And there go any remnants of hope that they'd actually incorporate Norway at all. And,SHOCKINGLY,"Let It Go"will be featured!lol

Maybe its just me, but I thought norway was supposed to give a glimpse into Norwegian culture, not scandinavian culture in general.I laughed out loud about how dismissive Tom Staggs was about people's concerns regarding the location.
“If the goal is to give people a taste of something like Scandinavia with the Norway pavilion, then ‘Frozen’ would only increase the extent to which people would be drawn to it,” he said. “To me it doesn’t seem out-of-character at all.”

While The Three Caballeros add-ons are mostly terrible, it does at least get some semblance of credibility since the movie doesn't take place in a make-believe country, like Tacostan or Fiestaville. What about Donald Duck in the Mexico ride? How is that different?

The mexico ride is still about Mexico, not a fictional country. And 3 caballeros takes place in Mexico.
Also worth mentioning, The Three Caballeros were added to existing elements. The original ride wasn't completely gutted.P.S I'm not for this, I think it's a terrible idea mainly because that area can't handle the crowds and Frozen deserved its own new ride. But I still think it's almost the same as the Mexico ride.

Ratatouille takes place IN France. Mulan takes place IN China. Even Mary Poppins takes place IN Great Britain. Frozen takes place in a fictional land, loosely maybe based on some random Scandinavian country/area...Not Norway and definitely not the same as the examples above.
However, you are correct. Epcot needs more attractions. I just wish they were ADDING attractions. This isn't an add. It's a refurb to an existing attraction. The net positive, for me, is that it will siphon the wee-ankle biters and Frozen fans in DROVES over there, instead of clogging lines at attractions I do give a hoot about.
So that's good. See...I'm all about the positive!
