It's off to the Magic Kingdom


We arrive at the magic Kingdom and go thru the security checkpoint.All Checkpoints have been fast and the security officers very nice.

Thru the turnstiles and on to Main Street USA!

DS always has to ride the train first thing so we decide to go to Mickey's ToonTown Fair.

Just as we are arriving in Toontown we see all the Characters signing autographs.DS so wants Capt.Hook so we rush over just make it and Dnephrew gets C.Hook auto DS is standing there with his little book out and C.Hook just walks away(now I know they need a break but DS was the only one waiting for his auto-he could have signed it and made a 4 yr old very happy as it stood DS was broken hearted and we saw C.Hook Later and he did not want to know!)

We leave this area it is a really hot Day and go towards Goofy's BarnStormer and the waterfeature at the Donald's Boat.It is not working! bummer

so we ride Goofy's and the kids are ready to eat(must be having gowth spurts that is all the wanted to do this trip is eat LOL

so we head over to Cosmic Rays for lunch and to cool off.DS got the corn dog basket and really enjoyed it.DH and myself got the turkey sandwich. It was very good and packed with turkey.

after lunch we head to FantasyLand
we ride the Teacups,Get a fastpass for Pooh,Ride It's a SmallWorld,SnowWhite and PeterPan then back to Pooh for our fastpass.We walk onto most of these rides with no wait longer than 10 minutes

Kids did not want to do Dumbo so it is off to LibertySquare and the haunted Mansion.No wait at all walk right in and even skip first room go directly to the potrait room.

After Mansion we head to the the little Cooking Shop near the Mansion cart.I had read about Mickey ice cube trays and wanted to pick up a few! WooHoo they had them got a couple and off we go. Ice Cream time!

Since we are going to eNight tonight we skip alot of things most people consider a must do we will do those tonight.

We head over to Adventureland and do Pirates and jungleCruise.When we get off the jungle cruise it is pouring rain.And it is nearing 4 o'clock so we head to Main Street and City Hall to get our armbands for e-night and head back to AllStars for a rest.Dson and DN had a blast while we waited for our armbands picking up pixie dust and putting it in their pockets for "Disney Magic"to happen.

Enight

we rode all the rides at least once with the exception of Alien and SpaceMtn.

Then ended the night with a hotdog at Casey's

that was my sister's suitcases(2) and yes they arrived from California the next morning around 6 am.

At the risk of sounding cynical ... why would anyone want the autograph of a Disney character?
I mean .. it's not like getting some pop star or movie star or famous head of state's autograph (which might actually be worth something one day)

because he is FOUR years old and to him they are POP STARS!

It's not just for the little ones either, and it's not about making money off of it (people used to get stars autographs because it was neat to have now it all about making money) I had Mickey autograph my hat, and I'm 28. It's called fun.

Hey, Mal! Been reading your trip reports and sounds like your having a good time!

Oh, and Mickey is better than a rock star.........he can make magic!

My DGD loves to collect the autographs too. It was a hoot when she saw Aladdin at CRT breakfast. She got all nervous and dropped her fork on the floor..almost spilled her milk...got all tounge(sp) tied. I'd NEVER seen her like that before...it was hilarious! Aladdin was so sweet to her...he knew. I had to choke back the laughter, because she would've been even more embarrassed had I let it out. A great memory.

So, did you guys make it to the MK at opening to try to be the Gatekeeper?

no everything opened at 9 am when we were there so there was loads of people waiting.Although the whole trip we never got up early enough to get to the opening of anything except AK.

Your son will get over Cpt Hook... maybe in about 20 years.

When I was 9 we were at MK for the first time. I was head over heels about Pinnochio. When I went for his autograph, he turned around and stomped on my foot and kept going. That was it for Pinnochio, and to this day I don't care if I ever watch anything about him.

As an adult, I NOW know that he had a huge costume on with a little "window" from which he could see, so he can't have seen me. As a child I thought he was the meanest character of them all.

Getting the autographs was fun, except for that experience. I can't wait to get the books for my kids to start their collections in October!

RUDisney oh man what a terrible thing I hope my little one gets over CHook rudeness. I could tell it really upset him and he did see my DS.I know they have to have their breaks because those costumes get really hot but there was no one else waiting for an autograph and what would one more have hurt.
