Making your own costumes?

Do any of you make your own costumes?

I'm thinking of making myself a "Queen" costume (Snow white). Any idea where I could find the pattern?

Any idea where to find cool Disney patterns? (The princesses are cool, but they are the only ones I can find. I can't find any vilain )

I've never made any costumes because I hate sewing machines, I'm more of a hand sewer or cross stitch person but as kids my mom made almost all of our costumes. Clowns, a full Clifford the big red dog costume, capes... everything.

My suggestion is to go to a local fabric store and search their patterns. I go in with my mom and have found they have a ton of patterns. The ones I go to with my mom have large books of patterns just for Halloween costumes and have so many different designs.

I'm pretty sure that Simplicity makes lots of Disney patterns. Also check ebay and just do a google search. But, check out this site, they have two adult queen costumes for good prices...sometimes its worth your time and money to just buy one.
