I have a dinner reservation at 9 Dragons - 7:45/party of 7/Nov 28. It's the only restaurant I could get. We would like to eat and be out soon enough to see the Epcot Fireworks. It is a night that there are extended hours in this park. My questian is how should we leave the park? Will there be a swarm of people going for the gate? Should we stay back and let the crowd through? or should we be a little bit ahead of the crowd and try to get out first. Any WONDERFUL ideas?

We always watch Illuminations from the jetty in Italy and then walk idly towards the exit. It's a nice stroll around the lagoon and by the time you get back to Future World most of the crowds have eased. If it still looks busy then head into Mouse Gears to browse the store. If there are extended hours then some people will be staying on anyway. Were you planning on leaving or staying for the EMH?

Agreed. No sense rushing just to stand in a line for the monorail/bus or tram to the parking lot.

On EMH nights there never seems to be as big of a "mad rush" to the exits as other nights. Probably because it's become common for even off-site guests to linger to shop/eat/walk around even though they can't do any attractions.

I do exactally what rosiejo does, only I watch Illuminations from the bridge between France and the UK. I'll grab a bench and sit for 5-10 minutes after Illuminations and then take a slow walk out.
