Hi There!

Just wondering if there are any advantages/disadvantages of booking your reservation online vs. CRO vs Disney Travel Agency? Also, anyone else having trouble getting the Disney reservations page to search today? Worked yesterday but not today...

Thanks!

Katie

From my understanding, booking through CRO gives you a much bigger window for refunds. I am not positive, but if you go through the Disney Travel you will only get 100 % refund if you cancel something like 45-90 days before your trip.
CRO you can pretty much cancel a couple of days before and still get a full refund.
I'm sure someone will have the exact details.

BCKatie02, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that you can use any discount codes when booking on-line. That would be the biggest disadvantage.

Also--booking on line--from some of the other threads I have read...presents some issues such as CRO not being able to pull the ressie up.

Plus--CRO will help you with other aspects of your trip whereas--on-line, it is just you and the computer trying to figure out your vacation.

We always book with CRO--but we are also Fla Residents who needs the human CM to help us find the discounts.

If you are like me and prefer to do things online primarily to avoid having to make phone calls, waiting, etc., maybe you should try getting a quote from Dreams Unlimited?

They go directly thru Disney, so your prices would be no higher if you called yourself, and they will also look for prices for any codes you have (in addition to checking for discounts every so often). You can apply your deposit payment online, and even pay in advance on the remainder of the payment if you want. They just give the info to Disney and Disney charges your card.

Basically it's like going thru CRO but having someone else doing the work for you!

What's the telephone number for CRO I used the 407 9396244 - is this the number for WDW travel company?

I was curious as to where do you reach CRO as opposed to Walt Disney Travel Co? I call the 1800 number that I got off of these boards which one is that?

I always call central reservations at 407-WDISNEY. Same number I have used for years. I always remember the letters--but not the digits it translates too.

Dining is 407-WDW DINE

Good luck!

p.s. We have relatives out of state--and I'm not sure who they book with--but they can often get disney deals through various sources including airfare. Again, not sure if it is on site or off site.

The number I have used to book is 407 WDW MAGIC, does anyone know if this is the disney travel company or disney direct and whats the difference?

There are probably tons of numbers out there which ring at CRO, but I just got off the phone with them and used 407-934-7639. I prefer them because you know you're getting the latest/greatest info and they've always been GREAT finding me the best deal...when you're FL residents, AAA members, and in the military (like we are) - there is definitely some price comparison to do! :teeth: It would be WAY too confusing if we bought AP's!

407-WDW-TOURS also for those who are into that!
