Making the move today.. silly question

Hi we are making our move today !!! soooo nervous!!! after pondering about it for several week...Anyway my question is if we do not rent a car is there any transportation to Universal or the other parks not Disney owned...

You can get to Universal and other non-Disney parks by taxi, towncar and possibly Mears. I have heard that you can catch the city bus a make it to the other areas, but I do not know anyone who has done this. Perhaps someone on the transportation board can help with the bus question.

Good luck. They make it a cakewalk. I always like the luxury of having my own auto. Never a question of what to see or do and when you want to go.
Bought in January and all my points for 2005 and 2006 are used already. Its addicting!!!! Make sure you know your banking months!! We signed in late Janaury and only had a few days to decide on banking the 2005 points they gave us, as our use year was August 1st. Feb 1st was the deadline for banking all the points

We went recently in March and used a towncar. It was $70 round trip from BCV and I also gave a tip. We checked into a mears shuttle and I believe it was around $15 per person round trip. Not totally sure. I was happy with the towncar and would use it again.

another option is to rent a car just for one day [i believe there is a rental desk at the dolphin - easy enuf to get to via disney transportation] - gives you the flexibility to stop at grocery store, liquor store, walmart, pharmacy, target, old town and off-site restaurants. there is also car rental at the car care center somewhere on disney property - which offers shuttle service [so i've read here]. and i'd suppose you could find an enterprise car rental agency close by - they pick you up and drop you off!

there's lots of info re car rentals on the planning board - maybe you'll want to go over there and do a forum search for 'car rental'.
