Sarah, your DVC reservation calls for a Saturday departure. So, when the flight schedules come out you'll have some flexibility; sometimes Saturday morning flights cost more than Friday morning flights. But, if you want, you could stay for another day and come home on Saturday.Maybe Claire won't want to stay that long. Or, if you decide to come home on Friday we can get some points back to use on another trip. I'll have to look and see if those are points that have been banked before because, if they are, we would have to use them by August 31, 2010. If that's the case you might as well stay another day and enjoy them.

I didn't realize it was for the whole week. I guess I thought when you were talking about changing dates it was for the first trip. haha! I wouldn't mind staying the whole week. Unless we could use them to go to Disneyland. :rotfl:

The ADR window is back to 180 days. Make sure you take the boat ride from OKW to DTD sometime during your trip. I loved that!

The boat ride is really nice! In April Dad and I took it from DTD to OKW and it was so peaceful.

Staying an extra day would be awesome. That would be my longest trip in a long time!

That pizza looks SOOOOO GOOD!

Oh wow! I am soooo hungry right now! :rotfl:

LOL, me too. I could really go for some of that pizza now.

Hollywood Studios Changes

Have any of you seen/heard about the new things coming to Hollywood Studios?

1. A while ago I saw that the High School Musical pep rally is going to be ending soon (I think in October) and will be replaced by a new show that is supposed to feature music from HSM, Hannah Montana, and Camp Rock. I am not going to lie, I like HSM and am also guilty of watching Hannah Montana on occasion and we recorded Camp Rock 2 a couple weeks ago...:rolleyes1 (which for the record I still think HSM is better than Camp Rock. Though the 2nd movie had a lot of similarities to HSM 2. LOL!) I think I might have to see this show. Yes, the music is cheesy but it's also fun and isn't that really what Disney is all about?

2. The Block Party Bash is going to be ending in January and will be replaced by a new Pixar parade. My sister said she saw the tentative name is something like the Pixar Pals Cavalcade and it's going to have some Pixar characters you don't see in the parks anymore like Remy from Ratatouille and Carl and Mr. Frederickson from UP!

Both of these new additions sound like they could be fun and will definitely be going on my list of must-dos for March!

Oh my gosh, the new Pixar parade sounds awesome! I didn't know the UP characters made an appearance at Disney World so I googled them just now and I can't get over how cute they are! :rotfl:

The new parade sounds like fun! Unfortunately it doesn't start until after our trip in January, but I'll look forward to hearing about it from your future trip report:goodvibes

I just heard about that new parade on another PTR! Is it also going to include some of the classic Pixar friends - like Toy Story?

I saw part of Camp Rock 2 in the Community Hall at the BW while in Disney...I gotta say, it looked pretty cute! I kinda want to see it now.

I was a little surprised when I heard that DHS was getting a new parade. Feels like just yesterday that Block Party Bash was added. I'm looking forward to having the Ratatouille and UP characters back in the parks, but part of me wonders if they'll just be taking the Block Party Bash floats, change a few things, add some new music and give it a new name like they've been doing to the parade at MK for years and years. I guess we'll see in January.

Yeah, the Up characters were actually still there in April when we went. I got in line to meet them but it was so slow that I got out of line. I am kicking myself for doing that now that they are gone. :headache:

That stinks you'll miss it. I will definitely be sure to post about it.

LOL! It was a cute movie. The story is really corny but the music and dancing are so much fun. And the Kevin Jonas character was hilarious. :lmao:

It wouldn't surprise me if they did that. My sister and I were talking the other day and said the same thing about the MK parade. It is about time they get a completely new parade at the MK-maybe with the 40th anniversary coming up they'll finally do something.

Hi everyone! I've been neglecting this PTR lately, probably because there's not too much to report on yet. Hopefully within the next few days/couple of weeks the flight info will be out so we can book something.

I believe tomorrow is our 180 day mark which means we can make ADRs too. Like I said, the only place I'm really interested in is Via Napoli so I'll have to see if we can get something there. I really want to try it out.

And lastly, I saw some new information about the new tour that is going to be at the Animal Kingdom. It's on the DIS blog:

http://www.disunplugged.com/2010/09/25/new-wild-africa-trek-coming-to-disneys-animal-kingdom-in-2011/

All I can say is it sounds really cool! Since Dad and I enjoyed the Backstage Safari Tour so much maybe we can try this one as well. hehe Just wanted to share!

Your itinerary so far looks so simple. Park day everyday, what could be easier? :lmao: I was surprised that DHS was canning the Block Party Bash parade already. It lasted how long? 1 year? Well at any rate it didn't feel like it was around for too long. I'd be interested to find out more details of this new Pixar parade. That new AK safari tour sounds awesome! It'd be something I'd like to do as long as the price isn't too crazy. Good luck with your ADR's tomorrow!

Via Napoli looks so good...I wonder if I can squeeze it in somewhere on my trip? :rotfl:

haha, well, we really don't have any other side trips planned this time. So every day at a Disney park sounds pretty good!

Yeah, I don't really remember how long BPB has been around at WDW. I know it was at Disneyland when we went in '06. Or maybe it was even our '04 trip.

That new tour sounds really cool! A guided hike through the savanna, wow!

I know, that would be so awesome!!!

I hope you get to do the new tour! It sounds great!

I hope I get to do it eventually. But we still want to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour too.

I enjoyed BPB so I'm sure this one will be fun too.

If you do you'll have to let me know how it was!

Well, the new theme for next year has officially been announced. What is it you might ask? According to the DIS blog, it's going to be "Let the Memories Begin." I am sure that still has some sort of connection to it being WDW's 40th anniversary. Maybe. It has to! Here's the link if you're interested...

http://www.disunplugged.com/2010/09/27/disneys-big-announcement-not-so-much/

So in honor of this being the theme, I am going to continue with my trip flashbacks that I started in my August PTR as my "game" for this PTR (and never finished...that was an epic fail but hey, you can't blame me for going on two trips in 4 months! haha). I'll repost the links to the first few I did--I think there might be ten, but I still have 8 or 9 trips to recap. :rolleyes1

As for getting the ADR we haven't done anything. I'll have to check with my sister and see if there's anywhere else she'd want to eat but I'm sure she'd be fine with Via Napoli. We both love Italian food!

Also, who heard the news about Southwest buying AirTran? That could make it interesting for getting flights out of Milwaukee to Orlando now...hopefully they won't go sky high. :confused3 We'll have to keep watching and see what happens.

Have a good night!

Also, who heard the news about Southwest buying AirTran?

I heard that this morning, and I have to admit I'm a little concerned. They are both major providers here in Baltimore, and I almost always choose AirTran because of being able to select my seats prior to boarding. I'm hoping that Southwest won't change that policy. :confused3

Okay, the two new things at DHS sound neat!

I like all those shows/movies. :rolleyes1 Everytime we'd walk by when the HSM show was performing, I was always singing along. Annoyed Fiance and Sis everytime.

The parade sounds good too!

I'll be interested to see how the SW merger affects us as well. The only carriers that fly direct from Baltimore to Orlando are Airtran and SW. Hope it doesn't raise fare prices too much.

Yeah, that is the one thing that is so stupid about Southwest. Is it really that hard to assign seats ahead of time? :confused3

LOL, glad I am not the only one. They're just fun movies how can you not like them?

I can't wait to see the new parade. :thumbsup2

Hopefully it doesn't affect things too much. That would really be a bummer. :sad2:
