Making the DVC Rounds...A March '11 PTR: TR link added p. 30

Hey, don't forget I'm the one who has resort TV on my ipod...:rolleyes1 So I wouldn't think anything of having the video bookmarked.
I don't have it on my iPod but I did video tape Resort TV the last time we were there :rotfl:

Hey Sarah! I've been slowly catching up and now de-lurking. :thumbsup2 OKW looks so nice! I hope time drags for you of course while you're there, but I can't wait for your TR to see more.

Doesn't that feel so good to say "I'm going to Disney World next month?" :yay: (though, I gotta admit...I'm pretty pumped that I can say I'm going THIS month. :teeth:)

I don't know how I missed that you had started this! I'm subscribing and I'll be back later to read :thumbsup2

Hi Tracy! I am so excited about OKW. Only 48 days to go now!

Yeah, well...you don't have to rub it in, do you? :snooty: LOL. I still can't believe you're going for 2 weeks.:eek:

I don't know how I missed that you had started this! I'm subscribing and I'll be back later to read :thumbsup2

Glad you found me again! :)

Thanks for joining in!

Hi everyone! Happy Super Bowl Sunday! (that is, if you care...normally I don't care too much but this year it's pretty exciting because the Packers are in it, woot woot :cool1::cheer2:).

Well, once again I've been failing miserably at my countdown game. Hopefully early this week I'll do another quote of the week. ;) The good news is we only have 48 days left, woo hoo! And my dad got the Magical Express stuff for their trip (Mar. 12-18) so I'm guessing we'll be getting our ME packet pretty soon too.

I've also been looking at the park hours and trying to put together a rough plan for what we could do each day. Can't believe we're going next month already.

Oh, one more thing...I have not yet mentioned that we have ANOTHER trip in the works too. Any guesses on when? ;) popcorn:: I'll share more on that later. But for now, all I have to say is

GO PACK GO!!!

Ooo! Ooo! I know... I think you let it slip on my TR . George and Alex hate Pittsburgh and are cheering for the Packers but I'm cheering for the Steelers -- sorry! :duck: Should be a great game!

You were cheering for the Steelers?!?! :headache::furious: hahaha, just kidding...I guess I can forgive you though, seeing that the Packers won. :)

You could be right about my next trip, I might've "slipped up" on a couple TRs...;)

Congrats on the Packers winning! A friend from Minnesota wrote on their Facebook that all the Minnesotans who root for the Vikings were talking about the commercials, and all the Packers fans were talking about the game.

I think I might have seen something about your next trip....was it for Christmas???

Thanks! It is very exciting...it's been a while since any major sports team in WI has won anything. Actually, the last time a WI team won a championship was when the Packers won 14 years ago! That's funny about the comments on facebook. We saw this poll that asked who you wanted to win the Super Bowl and the only states that didn't pick the Packers were Pennsylvania (Steelers fans), Illinois (Bears fans) and Minnesota. :rotfl:

It could be... ;)I'll share the details on my TR with the final thoughts.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

As you all probably know this past Sunday was the Super Bowl. We ended up going over to one of my aunt's houses for a Super Bowl party to cheer on the Packers. All I can say is WOW, that was such a crazy and exciting night! As you probably also know by now, the Packers won!!!!!!!!! :dance3::banana::yay: It was a tense game for a while there (so much in fact that I,ummm...might not have watched the ending until I heard everyone screaming, LOL...:rolleyes1--I'm such a failure). So now that they're Super Bowl champions, we have to go out and pick out some new apparel to wear when we're in Disney World! My dad was making a comment about how last January they saw all these people in Saints stuff and he thought that must be so fun. I'm thinking I'm going to get one of these sweatshirts:

Oh, and probably a t-shirt too. Gotta show our Packer pride! :)

I have to share this too. It's always fun seeing the MVP "I'm going to Disney World!" commercial and this year it was so cool seeing Aaron Rodgers in it! :lovestruc

"Im Going to Disney World!"

Love the green and gold fireworks at the end!

OK, moving on now...

The other day Dad and I were talking about our Disney rewards points and he mentioned how he was going to load up his card for their trip. He then realized that the card expired in December so he had to order a new one. I just checked my card and mine expired too so before I forgot I went ahead and ordered a new one. I don't have too many points but I figure it'll pay for a couple souvenirs atleast.

And finally, I decided to check out the park hours the other day to try and get some sort of idea for what we could do each day. Here's what I came up with. I'll have to see what my sister thinks.

Saturday, March 26, 2011
-Flight out of Milwaukee
-Magical Express to Old Key West
-TBD…maybe take the boat to Downtown Disney or Port Orleans

Sunday, March 27, 2011
-Park day! Magic Kingdom in morning

Monday, March 28, 2011
-Park day! Hollywood Studios in morning (we seem to always go to DHS on our second day for some of those big attractions!)
-Boardwalk or mini golf in afternoon?
-Braves game at Wide World of Sports??? Game at 6:05

**if we do decide to go to the spring training game I'd want to stay near DHS since that's the only place I'm aware of that has buses to the Wide World of Sports**

Tuesday, March 29, 2011
-Park day! Maybe Animal Kingdom in the morning
-Epcot in the afternoon/early evening for ADR at Via Napoli
-stay for Illuminations

Wednesday, March 30, 2011
-Park day! Epcot in am???

Thursday, March 31, 2011
-breakfast at Chef Mickey's!
-park afterward...Magic Kingdom???

Friday, April 1, 2011
-last park day...TBD

Saturday, April 2, 2011
-come home :sad2:
-begin planning for December trip

I know there's still a lot of question marks. I'd like to try to get to each park atleast once for opening. We'll most likely stay away from the EMH but who knows. So organized, aren't we? Thoughts? I know my dad will offer his opinion! hehe

Stay tuned for the next quote of the week plus more park plans. Time for American Idol! :)

Great schedule!!!

You could always take a bus to POP and then a cab to WWOS if the other resorts don't offer buses! I think POP is the closest to WWOS. All Star Sports I think would be the next closest to WWOS.

It looks like you have a lot to think about and plan! Meanwhile I did my planning in one hour haha. We're also only going for 2 park days though so I guess you have a ton of time to go where you want to go!!!

Thanks for the FB message back!!

We will be checking into the Yacht club on Wednesday.
Do you have an ADR for Wednesday afternoon?
I have an ADR for O'Hana's that evening and hopefully fireworks
from the beach after.
Those are my plans so far, but things can change.

First of all, congrats to the Packers! :cheer2: I love that you are going to get some Super Bowl Champs gear to wear while you're in WDW! When I started watching the game I thought I was going to pull for the Steelers (being a Vikings fan and all I never thought I would want the Packers to win  ). BUT barely into the game I found myself cheering for the Packers - what's up with that?! I blame it on the fact that I really really don't like Ben Rothlesberger......

Sounds like you've still got lots of trip planning to do. Or you could just kinda have a loose plan and just roll with it, that could be fun too :thumbsup2

Hi Sarah! I caught up on your PTR! I don't think I have read any since the first page!! LOL! Your plans sound wonderful and after this cold and snowy Midwest winter a trip to WDW sounds heavenly!! :cloud9: I will have to live vicariously through you!! (and my parents who are going in two weeks!) OKW looks beautiful, it must be fun to plan a weeks worth of park days!! Your ADR's sound great too!!!

~Beth

I think your plans look great! I forgot-do you just have the one ADR booked, Via Napoli?

And I see "Plan for the December" trip there at the end...it is for Christmas! :yay:

Thanks for the suggestion about Pop. I think I'd rather stick to the WDW buses though because I'm kind of cheap! LOL.

Yeah, we do but hey, we still have 40 days. That is plenty of time. :rotfl: W'ere not as crazy about planning as some people are.

You're welcome...good luck to your brother!!!

We will be checking into the Yacht club on Wednesday.

Nope, we just have the two ADRs on Tuesday and Thursday. As you can probably tell from our schedule so far we pretty much have no clue what we're going to do each day.

First of all, congrats to the Packers! :cheer2: I love that you are going to get some Super Bowl Champs gear to wear while you're in WDW! Thanks! I totally forgot you are a Vikings fan. It must be Ben Roethlesberger. And maybe the fact that the Steelers were going for their 3rd championship in 6 years or something. It was time for someone else to win. ;)

That's usually what we do. We sort of have an idea of where we want to go each day but that's about as much planning as we do.

Yeah, even though I don't think the winter here has been TOO bad (other than our Snowpocalypse blizzard and a couple days this week when it was freezing...) I'm more than ready for some nicer weather. How exciting for your parents...mine are going in about a month with my other sister.

I know to some people 6 days is short but since we've been going more often for shorter amounts of time a week seems like so much! (though I'm sure it'll still go by way to fast. But let's not think about that. hehe).

I think your plans look great! I forgot-do you just have the one ADR booked, Via Napoli?

And I see "Plan for the December" trip there at the end...it is for Christmas! :yay:

We are also going to Chef Mickey's for breakfast one morning! So excited for both.

Yup, it is for Christmas time! I love the decorations! :goodvibes
