Making somebody else's Disney Magic ...

Reading these posts is fantastic. It's made me well up with tears, laugh, smile, and envision some of these things happening as described.

It's great that so many people give back by just doing little things. How awesome.

We've done small things like give our seats on the bus to Moms holding little kids, letting some folks get in line ahead of us on a ride or in a restaurant line, and giving our fastpasses to some folks but I'm blown away by some of the generosity on here. Bravo to everyone! :flower3:

Looking forward to reading some more of this inspiring thread.

Take care!

We've been on both the giving and receiving end of a little guest-made magic...

On our side:
- we've given pins away, both our own and a couple of the 'one to keep, one to share' variety passed out by CM's
- handed out Fast Passes on our way out of the park
- shared a few 'secrets' with others, like using FP's later in the day
- 'given away' snack credits on our last day that we weren't going to use (granted, that was before I ran across the excellent snack credit threads here and found out what I was missing!)

We've received:
- dd's gotten pins from a couple of people (that's what started the whole pin trading craze on our first trip!)
- shared seating with other families
- received FP's
- dd's been treated to a snack or two
- ...and our biggie....on our first trip someone handed us (a family of 3) 3 tickets to the MVMCP! Evidently 3 of their party didn't show up. It was a great treat for us because we hadn't planned on going.

Yep we have given up seats on the buses as well to people with babies and older couples, children and the like in fact I don't think I got to sit on the bus at all the last trip. But then again my granddad would have come back and beat me if I didn't :)

I love this thread!!!! :thumbsup2

We love to share the Magic! On most past trips we've done the usual stuff like giving away FP we couldn't use, etc. But on this past trip in June, I bought a Princess sticker book and a Pixar movies sticker book, and we gave them out to kids throughout the trip. We saved some kids from melting down while waiting for parades, or the bus in the hot sun, and we rewarded good behavior and good manners as well. It was really great to pass along the Magic, and all the parents and kids were super appreciative of the stickers! Also on our last night, we rode the bus home to WL with only one other family. They were great, and we talked the whole ride home. I gave their little girl my light up Minnie ring for Summer Nightastic Fireworks... She was thrilled!! We will continue to pass along the Magic in November, and all our future trips! :goodvibes:goodvibes

A friend and I took a trip together, without our hubbies and kids. While we were waiting for Fantasmic to start, we got talking to a grandma, mom and daughter -- turns out they are from the town next to mine! The little girl had just started pin trading, and she was collecting princesses -- I had the most beautiful Cinderella pin on my lanyard, and I was using it for a trader, so I gave that to her. She was thrilled! The mom and I started talking about pins -- she was collecting black and white pins, and I had a neat one of those, so I gave that to her as well.

I love this thread! I think the kindnesses we do for others at Disney help make us more mindful of the kindnesses we can do in our daily lives. HOWEVER, and maybe this is a little bit of squeamishness on my part, sorry, I'm not going to pick up garbage (maybe I'll buss a table if someone left their stuff and I want to use the table, but uck...).

My family and I go down every year in January. Ever since I remember, (I've been going to the World since I was 4 years old...1984) we've always taken someone along with us on our trips. Well, as of late, we've been taking up to 4 others with us, and most of them have been first time guests. We love to share the magic, and we love re-living the magic all over again through these new comers' eyes. It makes everything new for us as well! :goodvibes

Until next time,
John

Wow I love this thread and will definately be subscribing. :D

We are taking my DD for her 4th birthday and first trip in October. She is going to get presents for the princesses in her room, and get to be a Princess for a day thanks to her FGIT at the BBB, so I think I will let her give out little gifts during the day for her birthday as well. She has a very giving spirit even at almost 4 and I think she would like to do that. I'll have to stock up on a few little things that she can hand out while we wait in line or for a parade. I love the Balloon idea too, I always wanted to do that, so maybe I'll save up a bit and hand out a few as well. :goodvibes

Thanks for spreading the magic everyone and inspiring others to do the same. I think that is the true magic of Disney World. pixiedust:

On our last trip we had the good fortune to ride Toy Story Mania several times. On our last trip to DHS my DH asked me to get in line and get our five fast passes so we could give them to a family coming into the park later in the day. How nice it was to give them to a family of five with three small children who just arrived at the park and FP were all gone. They were a lovely family and very excited to get the passes. Of course it made us feel good to do something nice for someone else.

I'm going to move this over to the theme parks community board.

We always purchase 20-30 pins off EBAY to give away to kids who have lanyards w one or two pins. We also give them to kids who ask about how we got ours etc. Little do they know they will be addicted:rotfl: It is nice to give them a gift just because!

Found this and it tugged on my heart! Heading down in a few weeks and can't wait to share Disney magic with others. What have you seen lately?

On our last trip in 2010, my mom and i met a couple in the Everest Line. He loved Figment as much as I did. He gave me two of his pins.

in 2010 TOT was down for a bit and we were standing in line with these girls from Canada who had never been on TOT before. They were flipping out about TOT breaking down so we told them once TOT was repaired, we would board the same elevator as them. they were relieved. that ride made for a very funny attraction photo. :figment:

I always try to spread the magic while I'm at the parks. I figure that if I'm lucky enough to be here I owe it to the other guests to try to make their experience as good as possible! I rarely sit on busses because I like to give others seats, and I always carry bubbles in my purse. Parents are so grateful when I whip them out in a long line for the nearby kids! On a long bus ride back the hotel late at night last trip, my brother and I got two little princesses distracted from their aching feet by pretending to fall over whenever the bus turned corners.

It's usually pretty easy to make someone else's day a little brighter. Even just complimenting girls on their princess dresses or wishing people with birthday buttons a happy birthday can bring such big smiles to their faces!
