I've enjoyed solo trips in the past but I've noticed a lot of "thinking about it" threads lately. I thought it might be a great time to compile some ways to do some solo trips without really being solo.

Please keep in mind this is the public internet and stay safe on your travel!

Travel with other DISers:
- DISunplugged has their disapalooza every year. Link to 2015 (dec 5)
- DISunplugged has announced a large week long 10th anniversary celebration in July 2016. Further details not released yet.

Both are great ways to have a non-solo, similar minded company destinations. Hit it off with someone or find a new friend and you'll have someone else to team up with the rest of your stay!

DISBoards:
- Make some Disboard friends! I've had the pleasure of getting drinks, a meal or coffee with several great new friends I met here when we were both in the parks at the same time. Good people and planning some future trips to line up with them so we're all at the motherland at the same time.
- Find one of the many when I'll be at Disney threads and let others know your plans and availability to meet up.
  • Adults and Solo Forum: Friends Seeking Friends
  • Single Parents Forum: We're going to disney
  • Others are found around the forums, sometimes popping up for specific resorts or specific events/months. Keep an eye out or start one if your looking for others available the same time you are.

WDW Events
- There are certain times of year where there is a reoccuring special weekend or event happens. (Marathons, Artist weekend). It's really hard to not find another DISer at these event, and not uncommon to find the disunplugged podcasters there as well.
- First day of any event brings out the crowds but also brings out the DISers. Local disers rarely miss the first day of anything at the world.

Unofficial Events
- dapperday is a fun way to see disney with others. they normally have special group rates for disney so also check to see if you can get a better price for your trip if this is happening the same time.

POP Century.
-
I have never stayed at pop century and not met a lot of people. I find the other resorts a little lonely but pop century never disappoints not only with friendly people around the resort but people that will say hi when you cross paths somewhere else on property..

What is everyone elses going solo but not really tips?
