We are going to be getting annual passes soon and I need to get on the ball and make some room-only ressies. I don't mean to sound dense, but how do I do this? I need to get a room in July and in October. Is there something special I say when I request it to get the ap rate? Do I have to provide a credit card, and if so is it charged $50? Thanks for any info!!

Just ask if they have any annual passholder rates available!;) after you inform them which resort you would like to stay at. They will be pleased to try and help you.

You do need to make a deposit of 1 nights rate including tax. Right now rates are available through 8/23/03.

Thanks! One last question...do you know if they actually charge the card (I can always ask when I call) or not? We usually pay use our debit card, so I need to know if I need to deduct $ from our account.

They charge the card immediately. You also have the option to send a check.

You may be aware of this but wanted to add .....

When calling make sure to ask for CRO so that you can get the room only booking and not the package booking. If you book through the regular reservations, even "room only" bookings are considered packages and the rules of packages apply - having to pay the entire cost before arrival (unsure of the time frame) and penalties for cancellations. If you book through CRO, you must pay a deposit of one night within 2 weeks but the balance is not due until checkin. And you can cancel or change your reservation up till 5 days before arrival - this includes adding discount codes later when they come out.

Hope this was helpful.

AP rates are subject to availablity, not garenteed. They will charge you one night, not only $50.

I just made AP reservations and unfortunately got it booked through WDTC. However, the CM told me that within the next few months, all reservations will go through WDTC, with the exception of travel professionals and airline employees(?). I don't know if I can switch over to CRO and get the same reservations. Has anyone been able to do so? I believe I'm okay if I cancel outside of 45 days, but that cutoff is coming up soon!

You can't just switch the reservation, unfortunately.

You'd have to cancel the WDTC one, and get one through CRO.

If you want to try, call, request CRO, and make the reservations in your husband's name. (or someone else in your travel party). Make sure they can get you a good rate BEFORE you cancel your WDTC reservation.

Good luck!

Is the difference between booking through CRO and the travel company how you have to pay for it?

Well, yes, and no.

There's a difference in how MUCH and when you have to pay. Here's a run down of the differences between the two. The MAIN differences are in the cancellation policies:

WDTC: $200 deposit is due within 14 days of reservation. The balance is due 45 days prior to arrival. There is no penalty for cancellations made 45 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made between 6 and 45 days prior to arrival are charged $100. Cancellations made less than 6 days prior to arrival are charged $200. There is no charge to change a reservation more than 21 days prior to arrival. There is a $50 charge for any changes made less than 21 days prior to arrival.

CRO Room Only: 1 night's room rate plus tax is due within 14 days of reservation. The balance is due at Check-in. There is no charge for cancellation 7 days or more prior to arrival. Cancellations made 6 days or less prior to arrival are charged 1 night's room rate plus tax. There is never a charge to make a change.

CRO Package: Same as above EXCEPT balance is due 21 days prior to arrival.
