I just realized that the day my 7 month window opens for making reservations is Easter Sunday. If MS is closed, will I still be able to make reservations on-line? I would think so, but I just wanted to verify.

Online as long as its not under maintenance which it shouldn't be.

Simply log in, go to bookings, and then book from there. Be aware rooms start going right at 8am EST so you want to be there right on the dot for the best shot to get what you want.

If you haven't practice doing it today. As long as you stop once you are putting in the people's names you have done what you will do but not yet booked it. The day of you can skip everyones name and just do yours then go back in and edit later after you locked it in.

Just to add, if you're making a 7-month reservation anytime you'll probably want to use the online booking tool anyway, which opens at 8AMET. It's an hour later for the MS phones to open - a lot of reservations will be made online during that hour! Reserving online improves your chances of getting what you want.

Thanks for the reassurance. Except for me, I'll be up at 7:00, since I'm Central Time. And thanks for reminding me about the names-I used that when booking an OKW HA GV once since there are only 3 at the resort, and I really wanted one.

Easter is not an MS day off. Its holiday closed times are Christmas and New Years day (and it closes at 3 the day before each of those), Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving. In the past, it has been open Easter, MLK day, Presidents' Day, and the recently created Juneteenth.

Really? Not a day off? I guess I've been indoctrinated into the changes of holiday emphasis when I moved to Texas. All the schools around here close on Good Friday and Easter Monday (When I lived in Massachusetts, I didn't even know "Easter Monday" was a thing) And HEB grocery stores in our town are closed 1 day a year-Easter Sunday. Yet, when we lived in Massachusetts, no one got Good Friday off, and Easter Monday was only off it it happened to fall on Patriot's Day, otherwise known as Boston Marathon Day. So I guess the Texan in me assumed MS would probably close on Easter.

If they are hourly (I would expect people on phones might be) they would be getting 1.5x pay. When I was younger I loved working every holiday that I could because you made so much more.

I suspect Disney allows those who want off to take the day off especially if they are observing the holiday.

Wisconsin and we have Friday/Monday off for school.

Not necessarily. It’s all based on how a company chooses to define holidays that are not designated as federal holidays.

I worked when I was younger as an hourly worker and did not get time and a half for Easter.

But, I am sure that those that want it off can use their PTO to do so.
