We are taking our first family vacation to WDW this October. We want to make ressies for breakfast at the castle, the princess storybook breakfast and Chef Mickeys for dinner. I understand about calling, and calling, and calling before dawn every morning but I have a few questions. First, how many days in advance can you call. I've heard 90 days and I heard if you're staying at a resort (we are) that you can call 100 days. I would really hate to call late and miss out on everything. Second, do you count all your little kids in the amount of people. We have 7 adults, an 8 year old, a 2 year old and a 1 year old going. So do I make reservations for 10, or for 8 and two little ones who will most likely be sharing our food? Do we tell them we need highchairs or do they have an unlimited supply when we get there? Third, we are using the dining plan so do I tell them that when I make the reservations or when we get to the retaurant? Finally, I heard you have to use a credit card to hold your spot, is this true even on the dining plan? I know it's going to be hard to get Cindy's royal table but is it hard to get Chef Mickeys and the princess breakfast? Thanks in advance for any help you can give. :)

First of all the rule now, for everyone, is 180 days out. People not staying at a Disney Resort can make reservations only within the 180 day period. People staying at a Disney Resort can make all their reservations (up to 10 day's worth) 180 days before arrival.

You count everyone as you need the spaces at a table; in your situation you would make your reservation for ten, indicating you have one child and two infants.

Basically you can consider that they have an infinite supply of high chairs and booster seats; I have never heard of any restaurant running out.

When you are making your reservations tell them you are on the dining plan. You also need to let your server know at the restaurant.

Only certain places require a credit card when making the reservation; the people at Dining will let you know. This is more to guarantee your reservation than anything else. I know there are certain rules for CRT, but I don't follow them.

I booked some meals last week.
The lady on the phone asked if I was on the dining plan,so Im sure they will you.
It is only a few popular meals - know Cinderella castle is one - that you need to give credit card details.I didnt.
Yes,say exactly how many people so you have enough space around table.

Have a great holiday,
Lynn
