We are booking our first Disney cruise and want to be sure we hit the spa and Palos. We are doing the 7 day and we have 2 daughters who will be 6 and 2 at the time.

What exactly do we need to do to make these reservations? I have heard splitting up is a good idea to be sure you snag both. I've read the lines open up at certain times for booking - how do you know when/where the booking takes place?

Would we also sign up our older daughter for the children's programming on the first day or do you just sign up the first time she is interested in going there?

We would need Flounder's twice, once for the evening at Palos and once while we hopefully do the Surial Bath.

Also, what do folks typically do for Palo's? With the dining rotation, you are scheduled at one restaurant 3 times, so we were thinking of trying to hit Palos one of those nights.

Lots of questions! Thanks!

Jenn, you will get a Personal Navigator at the port when you check in. That will tell you all the times for making reservations.

You will need to split up to get what you want. One of you should go to Palo (go a little earlier than the stated opening time) and get your reservations there. Be sure you have decided on what you want ahead of time, and the other person should go to Flounder's Reef and put in those requested times. Request as much Flounder's Reef time as they will allow, you can always cancel those reservations with advance notice.

The person who did Palo should be able to get to the spa in plenty of time for appointments there. Again, try and arrive at least 10 minutes ahead of time and ask to go straight to the appointment desk when it opens....skip the spa tour.

Definitely sign your older daughter up for the programming the first afternoon too, it is much quicker to do it then and that way she'll be ready for drop off whenever you'd like.

Any night is great for Palo! :)

Have a great time! :)

So you think it is possible to make ressies at Palo's and then make it in time to the spa for the Suriel Bath ressies?
DH and I will be cruising soon and I was planning on us splitting up, but if it would be possible for just me to do it, that would be better.

Thanks!!

My wife and I just got back from the 7-day western (had a great time even though it rained most every day and night) and we stayed together to make the reservations. She got her Spa appointment then we got our reservation for Palo's. I think that was the exception to the rule though. We went on the Eastern last year and weren't as lucky. We got reservations for both, but not for good the days or times we wanted. If you have the luxury of being able to split up, do that. Like Michelle said, make sure you know the times you want to go to Palo's (have 2 or 3 day's and times in hand just in case). There's 2 formal nights, so we were ready to go with either one of them. We also wanted to time dinner with the sunset so we chose 7:30. Last year we had the 8:30 seating and a couple at our table went to Palo's early then came and ate a second dinner with us afterwards.... they were too funny. Also... this is your only opportunity to actually dine, expect to be there at least 2 hours. The rest of the meals are done very quickly.
