Ok, here's the scoop. My family is planning a vacation to our home BWV in middle December 2002. We are going for a standard view, 1 bdroom. Here's my question, should I make our reservations day by day or wait and make them all at once on the day after our check out?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

DAY BY DAY, definitely. I am by no means a pro, as I just joined DVC at the age of 20. But I can tell you that December is a popular month with not only DVC members, but the general public as well....and especially because you want a standard view. Standard views go quicker than preferred because they are less points. I think for the time you are going you need to plan on calling day by day or risk not gettin what you want.

I asked Member Services about the best way to reserver BWV standard view and they even said to do it day by day. When you first call just let them know what you're up to and what the last date will be so they don't bother sending out the confirmation letters each time you add a day. They understand how quickly standard views go and are very understanding about the day by day thing.

I would go day by day. We are staying there this Dec 8-15, and I did not do day by day due to the fact we were on vacation during the time I needed to make the ressies. We ended up with some days in a standard view, some in a preffered. We did waitlist for standard, and they did all come through day by day. BUT...we were sweating it cuz for many months it looked like we were going to have to move 3 times during that week!

I did it day-by-day for this December (17 - 21). We also wanted standard view one-bedroom at BWV.

MS recommended it as the best way to go, and they never minded each day's call.
