Making PS without hours

How the heck do you do this? I want to try some new places this trip (California Grill, especially), but with no park hours how can you even begin to know where you'll be on any day? What do you guys do? Guess, make multiple ressie then cancel ones you don't need? I'm so confused! :confused3

It's not easy, but I often call dining and ask for the last seating for a particular restraurant. If it's too early, I still take it, but will try back when I'm only a few weeks out to change it. I start out making a few, then sit back and think about it more, then call and make a few more. I just read a post that a fellow diser called and there are no PSs available at EPCOT for May 4th and 5th. I normally wait to make my ressies, but may have to start planning a little earlier since I will be there the first and second weeks of May.

We make our PS and then we plan our days around the ps's. We don't usually stay at any one park every day so it always works out for us.

I make multiple reservations {putting on flame resistant suit} because I feel that until Disney smartens up and releases park hours in time for us to make our PSs then they'll have to deal with no-shows/cancellations...maybe it'll make them smarten up. I do cancel unwanted PSs as soon as the park hours are released (and I finalize our itinerary) but I'm sure a lot of people don't. If Disney was worried about it they'd do something to prevent multiple ressies so until they either prevent that or release park hours 90 days out, I'm going to continue making what I think I might need.

Don't worry about getting flamed here.
I agree with you for the most part.....but They feel they still have to really take a look at trends in the crowds. :confused3 Not that I think it changes that much week to week anymore.

I don't think it is such an issue as making resort ressies and then cancelling.
But park hours really don't vary that much. Epcot always stays the same and AK will only vary by an hour or so for closing time.

It is the EMH times and days that will effect any PS's we will be making.

this is driving me crazy right now too. Mostly because of EMH and my breakfast ressies. Like a previous post said, historical hours give you a good guideline for regular hours, but since they've changed the way they do the EMH its really giving me a headache.

I am just going to make mulitiple PS's and cancel some once I get my itinerary set. I don't think this deserves flaming, its actually a good way for someone to get those ressies later on. Look at the people calling less than 90 days out and getting CRT, thats probably because of some of us changing our plans, LOL!!!
