Coke, Kodak, Nestle, Brawny, Edy's...(trying to think of more) are already in the WDW Parks as sponsers. Is Orville the popcorn brand there? I can't remember.

:woohoo: Woot :woohoo: what great news :thumbsup2

I enjoyed reading Kingdom Keepers :goodvibes In the book, their VMK characters had a soda machine in a room. Wouldn't it be great if Disney could get sponsor's such as Coca Cola or Kodak for VMK. We buy Kodak film for our VMK cameras. I would like a Coke machine or Coke shirt. This could be a way for them to fund the game and keep it free.

I agree with the Coca-Cola part. Also- Coke could release promotions where you buy X amount of Coca-Cola prodcucts (Coke,Diet Coke, Sprite, Dasani, etc.) and you'd win a certain virtual prize. I'd also buy a Coke T-Shirt and Coke Machine. Great Idea! The Kodak idea is great also, Disney could do the same thing where you got a special camera or something with buying Kodak products. Also- one last thing, The Kingdom Keepers books are sold in Walt Disney World, so that is one Disney associate for keeping VMK open. Now you've got me thinking about Coke so I'm really thinking about opening one right now :rotfl:

I think the whole coke=virtual items is a great idea, lol. I usually open my first around 5:30 am (its my coffee) aww go ahead and crack one open, im already on my second :lmao:

And this should be easy for Coke to do, they already have a rewards program. mycokerewards.com.

Second Life does exactly this. In fact, due to the popularity of the game and the spending habits of SL's target audience, many major companies have paid big money to have a presence in that Virtual World.

Companies like Mercedes and IBM have placement in SL.

The idea of vending machines on Main Street to receive a soda (or how about a soda fountain machine for our new diner?), is the exact concept that pops up in SL. Marketing marketing marketing. However, just like in RL parks, if either Coke OR Pepsi were to enter into a contract, there is 99.9% chance it would be an exclusivity agreement, locking out competitors.

Gaia has MANY, MANY advertisers and brands placed throughout their game. For example if a new movie comes out or a new band -- they will get certain previews, trailers, and they make a quest for players to get a free item relating to that. Or if a new product comes out, for example just recently Skittles chocolate flavor was introduced, they made an entire town area dedicated to Skittles and made a quest for players. There is so much that can be done with this type of advertising...the possibilities are endless...

I agree. That is why I gave examples of companies that are already a sponsors/affiliated with Disney.

I was just on the mycoderewards.com and they already offer some Disney items. They also have a section on the site to suggest new rewards, so I put in a suggestion for VMK items. Who knows it may get some attention.
