I'm thinking I may want to send a few hundred dollars to put toward my stay at CBR in Feb. Will they send me something to show they received it and that I can have in hand when I check in? This is the best way to make sure I won't spend the $$, but has anyone ever had any problems doing this?:bitelip: :worried:

That's the way I paid for our trip last summer and the way I am paying for our 2005 trip. They don't send you any kind of receipt or anything so I always called and used my debit card - that way I had proof of the transaction on my bank statements, but I didn't have to worry about the check getting there.
DH likes Disney but dislikes the cost, so this way I can pay for it a little at a time and he never asks the total amount. I'm really bad at saving money for something like vacation so this way I'm not tempted to spend it.

2005?????

Can you book a room that far in advance? Or can you just send in money with a plan, but not anything definate, to draw from when you do go in 2005?

How far into the future can one go?
:earseek:

When I fax over my debit card information I also request an updated reservation receipt for the transaction. Just received mine in the mail today with the amount of payment credited onto my reservation sheet.

I have already booked - with the understanding that the 2005 rates are not out yet and so may change. That way I have plenty of time to pay for it all. I called several times - you know how it is when you call CRO - it all depends on who you talk to.

leighe - may i ask what timeframe you're going and where you're staying? we're looking to go in 2005 also, but in nov-ish but I can't decide where to stay yet! also, i think paying ahead like this is a great idea. would they let you just put it all on a credit card and pay it all off? not that i'd want to do that 2 years in advance, but maybe closer to the trip.

Disney books resort resv 10-15 years in advance. Holidays especially like xmas & NY can book up far in advance.

As for which resort, first look at what resort level fits you best. Then think about what parks you will be visiting or what theming interest you.

Super Deluxe - YC/BC, BWI, CR, Poly(Hi $100s & up)

Deluxe - AKL, WL($109-200)

Moderate - CSR, CBR, POR, POFQ($70-130)

Value - All Stars & Pop Century ($59-120)
